Our hospital offers vaccination programs tailored to your pets individual needs, dental procedures, radiology services, surgical care, laboratory access, boarding, and limited grooming. We believe that the health of your canine or feline companion depends on a teamwork effort; once we have diagnosed your pets problem we will educate you, the owner, as to how to treat and manage the specific condition. In the case of more complex diagnoses such as cancer, severe orthopedic injuries, chronic dermatology issues, or significant cardiac disease, we have a broad network of consultation services and specialty practices to whom we can refer. Did you know that October is National Pitbull Awareness Month? 🐾❤️

Pitbulls and bully breeds often face unfair stereotypes, but anyone who has loved one knows they are huge lovebugs!

Education and understanding are the best ways to break the stigma, and we are proud to advocate for these amazing companions.

To celebrate, we wanted to share some of the faces that make this breed so special to us. A few of our team members are proud pet parents to some wonderful bully breeds, which we have pictured below! 📸✨

Medication & Refill Pick-ups:
If you were planning to stop by this weekend to pick up your pet’s medications or prescription refills, please send us a text at 410-498-5318.

We will be monitoring our messages and will be happy to coordinate a time with you so your pet doesn't miss a dose.

🐾Did you know September is Animal Pain Awareness Month? 🐾

As pet parents, we hate the thought of our furry friends hurting, but dogs and cats are often masters at hiding their discomfort. 😿

Because they can't tell us with words, it's up to us to learn what to look out for. You know your pet's normal routine best! Since they are most relaxed at home, you are in the perfect position to notice these subtle changes in a low-stress environment.

Here are a few common (and easily missed) signs of pain to look out for:
•Behavior & Personality Changes: Hiding in new places, avoiding interaction, sleeping more than usual, or unexpected grumpiness.

•Mobility Shifts: Hesitation to jump onto the bed or couch, stiffness after resting, or suddenly panting and lagging behind on walks.

•Grooming Habits: Cats who are in pain often stop grooming (resulting in a matted coat), while dogs or cats might obsessively lick or chew a specific painful joint.

•Appetite Changes: Eating slower, dropping food, or turning down their favorite treats.

•Facial Expressions & Posture: Squinting, flattened ears, a tense muzzle, or sleeping in an awkward, hunched position.

If your pet is showing any of these signs, don't wait to see if it passes. Give us a call so we can help your best friend get back to feeling comfortable! 🐾❤️
