Feral cats are often misunderstood. Many live outdoors and may be fearful of people, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve compassion, care, and a safe life.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is an important way to help manage feral cat populations. By spaying or neutering community cats, we can help prevent unwanted litters and improve the overall health and well-being of these cats.

Today is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day! 🐾

Did you know that carrying extra weight can put our pets at risk for a number of serious health concerns and may even shorten their lifespan?

Pet obesity can contribute to:
🦴 Arthritis and joint problems
🩺 Diabetes
❤️ Heart and other health concerns
⏳ A shorter, less active life

So, what does a healthy pet weight look like? Ideally, you should be able to see a tummy tuck and a defined waistline when looking at your pet from the side and above.

Today is World Mental Health Day. While the holiday may primarily focus on people, it’s also a wonderful reminder of the importance of taking care of ourselves—and of remembering just how special our pets are. ❤️🐾

Many of our pets seem to know when we’re having a bad day, feeling scared, or not feeling well. They stay close, offer comfort, and somehow seem to know exactly when we need them most. Today, cherish your pets and thank them for all the times they’ve been there for you.

And while our pets’ mental health may not be the focus of the day, our dogs and cats can experience anxiety, stress, and other behavioral challenges. Some may also be struggling because they are sick or recovering from an illness. You can help by providing enrichment, exercise, play, companionship, and activities that keep their minds engaged. When anxiety becomes overwhelming—or when your pet is sick—your veterinary team can help determine whether medical care or other treatment is needed.

We need our pets, and they need us. ❤️

Chromeo was a lost kitty who thankfully found her way into a wonderful and loving family. 🥰 Today was her first visit with us, and while she needs a little help getting completely healthy, she was such a sweet and well-behaved girl! 🩷

The best part? Her new family is ready to give her all the love, care, and support she needs to thrive. 🏡🐾 We’re so happy Chromeo found her way to a family who is committed to giving her the happy, healthy life she deserves! 😻
