It is with our deepest sorrows to share the news of Cabela's passing. She went peacefully in her sleep. She was such an amazing member of our family and we are enjoying remembering our time with her. We hope her 13 years on this Earth was as good as she were to us. Cabela had 2 litters (same stud, she was loyal like that šŸ˜‰) and boy were they sure cute pups! If you have some photos to share of your pups, our family would be forever grateful to see them. It will help brighten our sad day. šŸ˜­

Hug your fur babies when you can!!

Our 12.5 year old Brittany (Cabela) is struggling to breathe. Raced her to the vet this morning only to find nothing on X-rays or upon exam. More than likely her larynx is not functioning like it should due to paralysis. We feel that putting her under anesthesia to ā€œsearch for an answerā€ would stress her even further. Put her on some meds and we will hope for the best within the week, knowing our time with her is very limited. Sheā€™s been such a great pet. Happy she was able to hunt in Iowa this past Thanksgiving. ā¤ļøšŸ¶

We took the girls out for little morning grouse hunt. Turned out unsuccessful on the bird hunting part, but a very successful beautiful morning walk in the Northwoods. We think the girls thoroughly enjoyed their day as well as one little mini-me.

We're flying high after the Great American Outdoors Act passed the Senate by a vote of 73-25! A major win for conservation with the power of grassroots advocacy efforts on full display.

The House is expected to take up the bill in short order. As always, we will be providing timely updates in the days ahead with one more vote before this bill can head to the president's desk.
