This morning at 4:45 my sweet Violet passed away in my arms . She would have been 15 next month and I’m still in disbelief . She was a bit off last night and it was my plan to have her at my vet first thing but she had other plans . As always Violet always did things her way in a typical terrier fashion . When I first got her no one knew what breed she was . Some asked if she was a tri color Yorkie but no she was a Biewer Terrier . I remember when I saw her for the first time as a baby I knew I just had to have her and reached out to her breeder . Back then the breed wasn’t recognized by AKC but their own registry with strict guidelines for registering dogs . I always admired that .
She had a tremendous personality and sweet spirit about her and all she wanted to do was to be with me and follow me everywhere I went . She lived well with the ShihTzu but I use to tell her she was a snob because just because they had flat faces and didn’t look like her didn’t mean she couldn’t be their friends . That probably went in one ear and out the other .
She’ll be cremated and will rest beside Truffles as they were friends in a sense that before Truffles lost her sight they both came to work with me .
I hope that she’s found Truffles by now and she’s filling her in on the things she’s missed down here and Truffles is showing Violet around up there and how beautiful it is .
