Awesome job, Becky and Shadow!

Adoptable dog Shadow appeared on FOX 43 AM LIVE this morning with her volunteer friend, Becky!

We shared Shadow's glow up photo about a week ago. When she first entered our shelter in February her coat was in very rough shape. She ended up having a litter of puppies while in our care - the whole family was cared for through our partner foster program at Topeka Correctional Facility for eight weeks.

Once her puppies were old enough to be spayed and neutered and find homes of their own, Shadow also got spayed and prepared for a new adventure in life.

All of her babies have found homes, and now it's sweet Shadow's turn. We estimate she's about 6 years old and are guessing she's a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. She weighs 73 pounds and has lots of love to give!

We want to thank our kitty crew of volunteers who help cats at the shelter and those who foster vulnerable babies. Foster and volunteer Amanda took this precious one home recently. 💗🐾
