Did you know some of the animals at the Topeka Zoo create incredible works of art?

Join the Topeka Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) at the Topeka Art Guild Gallery in Fairlawn Plaza for First Friday, TONIGHT, August 7, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. Enjoy food, drinks, great conversation, and browse a unique collection of paintings created by our talented animal artists and local artists.

Can't make First Friday? The artwork will be on display throughout the month of August, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to stop by.

Best of all, every painting purchased helps provide enrichment for the animals at the Topeka Zoo, supporting activities and experiences that keep them healthy, active, and engaged.

More Zookeeper week fun!
We even included other departments in our fun and games.
Carrying bales of brome and unlocking locks and racing wheel barrows the fastest made these keeper games fun for all!

Our team started a little late due to schedules. That doesn’t mean that we forgot about them!

First activity was a way for them to sit down, relax and get their creative juices going.
Painting Coasters that they can then bring home and enjoy!
