An elderly woman recently lost her husband and now must move by the END OF THIS MONTH.

For years, she's cared for approximately 23 feral and semi-feral cats, many of whom are NOT fixed.

❤️ I WANT TO HELP HER!

My goal is to HEAVILY TRAP as many cats as possible before she has to leave. But I NEED YOUR HELP!

‼️ Please, this is NOT the time to question why they weren't fixed sooner. This woman has lost her husband, is losing her home, and now faces leaving behind cats she's loved for years.

Well, what SHE would absolutely LOVE is for you to graciously share your secrets to PERFECTION!

I've never met a perfect human, and apparently Tooele County has SOME of them! 🫪😅

Please, enlighten me with your 12 YEARS OF HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE RUNNING A FELINE RESCUE IN TOOELE COUNTY!

Oh, wait. You don't have that experience? Interesting.

Did you know, Miss Perfect, that not every adoption gets posted? Why? Because I'm too busy actually CARING for the animals, covering volunteer shifts, handling medical needs, trapping, cleaning, and doing the work that doesn't magically get done by criticizing someone on Facebook. And here's the real kicker working my job to help pay for the needs of these precious animals.

Did you know that some of my precious cats will NEVER be adopted because of medical conditions, behavioral challenges, or their temperaments?

And guess what? I KNEW THAT WHEN I RESCUED THEM!

I didn't rescue them because they were guaranteed to find homes. I rescued them because they deserved SAFETY, LOVE, and a chance at life.

Where were you, Miss Perfect, when I was out trapping cats, feverishly trying to get them to safety?

Where were you when the vet bills needed paying, the cages needed cleaning, and the cats needed feeding?

Oh, that's right. Perhaps you were busy perfecting your criticism. 😅

Here's a little reality check.

Unless you've walked in my shoes, you have absolutely NO IDEA what it takes to do what I do. ZERO CLUE‼️

I've spent 12 YEARS doing this in Tooele County. I've made sacrifices most people will never see, and I work harder than some of you could ever imagine.

Am I perfect? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Do I make mistakes? YOU BET!

Do I work my tail off for these animals? EVERY SINGLE DAY!

And here's the beautiful thing. I'm not asking anyone to worship me, agree with me, or even like me.

But if you have all the answers, I'd absolutely LOVE for you to come share them with me FACE TO FACE. Better yet, grab a litter scoop while you're here! 😻

Because criticizing a rescue is EASY. Running one for 12 years? THAT takes WORK.

And to the self-appointed Miss Perfects of Tooele County, perhaps it's time to take a good look in the mirror before deciding how everyone else should live and operate.

You never know who you are talking to miss perfect at the grocery store, could be someone who adores me. Stay cute.

However, I want to make one thing VERY clear.

‼️ I have ZERO tolerance for anyone treating my volunteers with disrespect or an attitude.

Trina works a couple of jobs, is battling terminal cancer, and STILL finds time to help me and this rescue. She is also my best friend, and I cannot begin to tell you how much she does for us AND ME. ❤️

If you message her at 6:15 AM, please do not expect an immediate response. She was already at work, give the same courtesy you would expect for yourself.

And if your messages come with an attitude because she hasn't responded quickly enough, I promise you, we do not have room for that here.

We are all volunteers and doing our best, and kindness costs absolutely nothing.

‼️💥 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT — PLEASE READ! 💥‼️

Due to a serious shortage of volunteers, I will personally be covering additional shifts at Bella's Furever Friends.

Effective TODAY, October 18th, I will NOT be responding to messages for the remainder of this week, and possibly longer, until I have more help.

I will still be making a few posts, but PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT MESSAGE RESPONSES.

I am ONE person wearing MANY hats. Between running this rescue, caring for the animals, working my regular job, and handling everything else life requires, there are only so many hours in a day.

For those who have tagged me or messaged me about cats and kittens needing intake, those are the cats and kittens i will be caring for.

Working shifts at my own rescue is IN ADDITION to everything else I already do.

I apologize that I don't have more hands, but my clock has the same 24 hours as yours. I can guarantee I'll be putting in 16–20-hour days just trying to keep everything running.

The animals deserve proper care, and that is where my time and energy need to go right now.

Please respect this boundary. I cannot be everywhere, do everything, and answer everyone.

The number of people asking me to take care of cats or entire colonies on their properties is overwhelming. Some have 20, 40, even 100 cats!

WHY WASN'T THIS ADDRESSED BEFORE ANOTHER BREEDING SEASON?

I'm not upset people ask for help. I'm upset these situations are allowed to grow out of control before anyone takes action.

‼️ I AM ONE PERSON. I do NOT work for the county or city, I chose to jump in and help with my own time and dime ‼️

I have a job, a rescue to run, and a life outside of animal welfare. I cannot drop everything on demand or be available 24/7.

PLEASE STOP ASSUMING THAT CONTACTING ME MEANS I'VE AGREED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR AN ANIMAL.

Finding a cat, temporarily housing it, or sending me a message does NOT automatically make that animal my responsibility, financially or otherwise. Nor does it mean I've agreed to intake it.

Bella's Furever Friends receives NO GOVERNMENT, CITY, OR COUNTY FUNDING!

We rely on donations, volunteers, and far too often, my own money.

We've sterilized OVER 180 FERAL CATS THIS SUMMER, costing thousands in veterinary care, food, transportation, and medications. That's ON TOP of the ongoing expenses of caring for our indoor rescue cats!

I CANNOT CONTINUE CARRYING THE FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL BURDEN ALONE. My volunteers are absolute angels behind the scenes however, they can only do so many shifts in a week. They express their frustrations they don't understand a county this size that others who can help, wont.

Property owners need to take some responsibility. Not everyone can donate money, but trapping, transporting, fundraising, volunteering, and sharing posts ALL help!

💔 THE CATS ARE THE ONES SUFFERING. They didn't ask to be born, abandoned, or left to reproduce endlessly.

The solution cannot always be "Call Bella. She'll handle it, she'll pay for it too."

And not receiving an immediate response doesn't mean I don't care or you're being ignored. It means I'm already stretched beyond what one person can reasonably manage. Has it ever occurred to the i need an answer asap people, i am helping the other ton of people who reached before you? Messaging them, and taking action??? That their is a waiting list? You are in a que and its out of my control how many people message? That YOU need to keep reaching back i cant be your secretary? Or that i am working my job? Driving TO PICK UP A CAT? driving to feed ferals? Trapping? Medicating cats? Working a shift with all the cats? Or handling other lifes responsibilities like getting a tire patched?

THIS RESCUE IS ALREADY STEPPING UP EVERY SINGLE DAY! Average is 16-20 hours a day‼️

I'd LOVE more land, a larger facility, and the resources to help more animals. But until then, we need MORE PEOPLE stepping up, not more expectations placed on one person.

🐾 We need more funding for spay/neuter.

🐾 We need property owners involved BEFORE colonies grow out of control.

🐾 We need volunteers, supplies, space, and community support.

‼️ WE NEED COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS, NOT MORE EXPECTATIONS ON ONE PERSON! ‼️

Bella's Furever Friends cannot be the answer to every animal welfare problem in Tooele County.

And one more thing. ‼️

PLEASE STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION ABOUT THIS RESCUE ON FACEBOOK.

I've seen claims that I don't respond to messages (when I can prove I did), asking other people how to get ahold of me, fudging the time i last communicated 🫪, that I refuse to take cats (despite the countless animals we've helped and intake all the time) and my personal favorite, that I don't fix cats.🫪😅

OVER 180 FERAL CATS STERILIZED THIS SUMMER ALONE. But apparently, we don't fix cats. 😅

Running a rescue is exhausting enough without having to spend what little time I have defending myself against statements that simply aren't true.

If you have that much time to discuss what you THINK I'm not doing, I have plenty of litter boxes that need scooping, cats that need feeding, and shifts that need covering!

BE PART OF THE WORK, NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM. 🐾🧡

🐾 Wet and dry cat food
🐾 Volunteers for light cleaning
🐾 Help feeding the cats
🐾 Scooping litter boxes
🐾 Reliable, ongoing volunteers

EVEN ONE HOUR A WEEK WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We aren't looking for one-and-done commitments. That isn't meant to sound rude, but running a rescue requires dependable people who genuinely want to help.

I've had countless people offer to volunteer or donate in exchange for me taking their personal cats, only to disappear afterward. Please understand that volunteering should come from wanting to help the animals, not as a bargaining tool.

💟 LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT TWO AMAZING VOLUNTEERS. (Among all of them are)

One wonderful lady drives all the way from Ogden to help once a month! She is amazing and committed. Love her.

Another comes twice a week despite dealing with health challenges. She even rests the day before so she has the energy to come help our cats.

THAT IS DEDICATION. THAT IS LOVE FOR ANIMALS. 🧡

When shifts aren't covered, I fill them myself, on top of working, managing the rescue, veterinary appointments, and everything else. I run on very little sleep, and quite frankly, I cannot keep doing it all.

WE NEED MORE PEOPLE WHO WILL SHOW UP AND STICK AROUND.

You don't have to give us 20 hours a week. An hour here, a regular shift there, or helping with supplies can make an enormous difference.

These cats deserve clean environments, full bellies, compassion, and consistent care.

This Christmas, my workplace is helping several families in our safe houses who have escaped domestic violence.

Many of these children have experienced more trauma and heartbreak than any child should endure. Some don't even know if Christmas is coming for them. We are caring for about 200 of them currently. 💔
