☀️🐾 Hot Weather Reminder for Pet Owners 🐾☀️

As the temperatures rise, remember that asphalt can get dangerously hot for your dog’s paws. Even when the air temperature feels manageable, pavement can become hot enough to cause burns in minutes.

A good rule: if you can’t comfortably hold the back of your hand on the asphalt for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your pup to walk on.

Try to:

• Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening
• Stick to shaded or grassy areas when possible
• Bring water on walks !!!
• Watch for signs of overheating or sore paws

Your dog relies on you to keep them safe this summer. Stay cool and protect those paws!

🧂🐾 Pet-Safe Salt: Helpful, But Not Harmless

Pet-safe ice melt is a better choice for winter walkways—but it’s important to know it’s not completely risk-free.

✔️ Why pet-safe salt is better:
• Less harsh on paws
• Lower risk of chemical burns
• Reduced toxicity if licked in small amounts

⚠️ How it can still be dangerous:
• Dogs can lick residue off their paws, leading to stomach upset or salt toxicity
• Some products still cause paw irritation or dryness
• Ingesting large amounts can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or excessive thirst
• Small pets are at higher risk due to their size

🐕 Safety tips for winter walks:
• Wipe paws after every walk
• Use dog booties or paw balm for extra protection
• Avoid heavily treated sidewalks when possible
• Store ice melt securely—pets may try to eat it

Pet-safe salt helps—but supervision and cleanup are still key. When in doubt, a quick paw wipe can prevent a big problem ❄️💙

Client love like this means everything! Check out this amazing google review-

“Bella is truly one of a kind. I trust her completely with my dogs, and that peace of mind is priceless. She treats them with so much love and care—genuinely like they’re her own—and I always know they are in the absolute best hands. Bella is incredibly easy to communicate with, super responsive, and always provides daily check-ins that make me smile (and relax). When one of my dogs had a stressful vet visit, Bella even offered to do her own little check-up the next day just to help calm my nerves. That level of thoughtfulness and care is rare. I cannot recommend Bella Beans Pet Care enough to anyone in the area… unless I move, because honestly, I’d need to take her with me.”

Reviews like this are why I do what I do 🩷
Thank you for trusting Bella Beans Pet Care with your fur babies, it truly means the world! 🐾

🎄 Balls Are For Trees! 🎄

Neutering saves lives, reduces suffering, and helps our community cats stay healthier and safer.

Here’s why TNVR matters:

1️⃣ Neutered cats live longer, healthier lives.
They fight less, which reduces injuries and the spread of diseases like FIV and FeLV.

2️⃣ They’re less likely to spray.
No more strong tomcat urine causing issues with neighbors or landlords.

3️⃣ Neutered cats are less likely to be trapped, dumped, or taken to shelters.
An ear tip signals they’re cared for and won’t reproduce.

4️⃣ They fight less—and less aggressively.
That means fewer vet bills and fewer painful abscesses or wounds.

5️⃣ Neutered cats stay closer to home.
They roam less in search of mates, reducing their risk of getting lost, hit by cars, or harmed by predators.
