Loving Presence with Horses

Loving Presence with Horses I teach and support people and horses, in person and virtually, to use Clicker training and positive reinforcement in Clicker Training Dressage.

As a Certified Training Partner of Karen Pryor Academy, clicker training is a major part of my work. It gets amazing results in training and also gives horses a way to communicate with them and they with us as well. It all makes the world a better place.

“My horse should know how to do this.”
If this thought has ever crossed your mind, you’re not alone.
The most interesting thing when it comes to a relationship between horse and rider is that you are mirrors to one another.
I help riders improve their confidence in understanding and communicating with their horse so they can move forward in a spirit of cooperation and balance.
If you’re interested in deepening your presence with your horse, a good place to start is my free gift! Learn 3 key ways you can pay attention to your horse’s cues and behaviour: https://lovingpresencewithhorses.lpages.co/3-ways-to-not-mess-up-your-horse-sign-up/

Sometimes it only takes a glance for me to see what the problem is.
I have always been this way.
I’m the lady who gives her horse loose reins after a halfpass or flying lead change, allowing my horse to drop his head to the earth to stretch his back, no matter if people stare at us.
I see stiffness and resistance in a horse and interpret the root of what’s happening, rather than trying to fix it with more equipment.
What if I told you this path is easier and natural? That you already have everything inside of you to create the relationship with your horse that you dream about?
I would love to meet you and learn your story. Book a call with me today :)

Why do we want to compete? 🐴
Maybe it's a desire to have a deeper bond... to work as a team with your horse. Or to feel the high you get when you're doing something extraordinary together. Maybe it’s to have fun and to ride with purpose! To keep improving and learning.
Often, competition can bring out the opposite feelings. The harder you train, the more distant the bond feels. The feeling of teamwork can begin to fade away. The anxiety and perfectionism you feel for yourself and your horse makes it harder to flow and to have fun.
This is why I work with presence. Horses speak the language of presence, and by being present, we can speak with them.
If you would like to improve your bond with your horse, I would love to speak with you 🙂 Book a free call with me!

Have you experienced the “sweet spot” when you’re riding your horse? 🐴
It’s that magical sensation of flow, easy movement, and deep connection that feels intuitive. I’ve always described this experience as riding a cloud horse. ☁️
These precious sweet spots come and go (sometimes they feel like they’re happening by accident)… but what if you could feel this level of flow and presence all the time with your horse?
What would change for you?

I’m here. Not “here for you,” but just here. I see my horse as complete and whole. I don’t need to be here for him. I am just here and available for connection.

You know the saying, “put yourself in the other’s shoes?” I put myself in my horse’s hooves as much as a person can do that for a horse.

I don’t need anything from my horse. I would enjoy connecting with him, but I don’t need to. It’s okay if he does not connect.

Do you have inner critics chattering in your head when you’re working with your horse? If you’re anything like me, this has ruined more than one ride that might have been a good one.

Dressage or whatever discipline you love, negative criticism can tear your apart inside. It hurts.

How does Clicker Training Work?

- You identify something you want to teach your horse to do.
- You watch him closely.
- When he does what you want, you click a mechanical clicker (or make a clicking sound with your tongue) the very exact moment he does it.
- He hears the click and expects a treat.
- You reach to get the treat in your pocket or treat pouch and give him the treat.

Please Note: You must learn and be able to practice specific rules and guidelines to make clicker training a success, especially for Clicker Training Dressage.
