DogworksOhio Dogworks is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization based in Toledo, OH. Our purpose is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome dogs.

All dogs are located in foster homes throughout the hour radius we serve. Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until a

doption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility. We strive to rescue as many dogs as we can, but the need for new fosters and volunteers is crucial to our continuing efforts!

💗 SOPHIA HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME! 💗

Look at this sweet senior girl! 🥹 Sophia may be 11 years old, but she still had plenty of love left to give—and thankfully, someone special saw just how precious she is. 🐾❤️

Sophia came to Dogworks after her previous owner, who loved her dearly, was unfortunately no longer able to care for her because of her own health. It wasn’t the ending Sophia deserved, but we promised her that we would help her find a new place to call home.

And now… she has! 🥰

Sophia has found her new mama, her new home, and a whole new chapter to fill with cuddles, naps, and all the love a senior girl could ever want. 🏡💕

There is something so special about watching a senior dog find their person. They may have a few more gray hairs and move a little slower, but their hearts? Those are still overflowing with love. ❤️

Thank you to Sophia’s new mama for seeing the beauty in adopting a senior and giving this sweet girl the loving home she deserves. We couldn’t be happier for them both! 🐶💗

🥹🐾 Look who got a do-over! Rusty! ❤️

Sometimes the first chapter just doesn’t work out the way we hoped, but thankfully, Rusty’s story wasn’t over. This sweet boy found his forever family! 🏡❤️

We couldn’t be happier for him. Watching Rusty go from needing a new beginning to having a family of his very own is exactly why we do what we do. 🥰

Now he gets to settle in, soak up all the love, and enjoy the life he was always meant to have. And just look at that happy face! ❤️🐾 We have a feeling this boy is going to be very, very spoiled.

Oh, and he has a handsome new fur sibling, Mo, on the left! 🐶❤️ We’re pretty sure these two are going to make quite the pair.

And to Rusty’s new family, thank you for opening your hearts and home to him and giving him the loving family he deserves. We are so grateful you chose Rusty. ❤️

🚨❤️ THE COUNTDOWN IS ON FOR WINSTON! ❤️🚨

Our sweet Winston has a date that could change his entire life. ❤️

Winston was born with a serious congenital heart defect. Without surgery, we have been told his life expectancy is less than one year. 💔

But Winston doesn’t know any of that.

He just knows he wants to be loved.
He wants to play.
He wants to grow up.
He wants a chance to be a dog. 🐶❤️

And on September 23rd, we are going to fight like hell to give him that chance.

🏥 SURGERY GOAL: $4,281.23
💔 This is the LOW-END estimate.
⏰ The hospital requires the $4,281.23 deposit when Winston is admitted for surgery.

That means we have 23 days to make sure we have the funds ready.

🐾🎉 BUBBA’S GOT NEWS… AND IT’S PRETTY DARN GOOD! 🎉🐾

Somebody apparently decided Bubba was just too cute, too squishy, and too lovable to stay available for long! 😂❤️

Bubba has officially been adopted! 🏡🐶 And this little guy is hitting the jackpot because he gets to join none other than Dogworks alumni Marty! ❤️

That’s right… Marty gets a Dogworks brother! We have a feeling these two are going to have plenty of adventures, plenty of cuddles, and possibly a little bit of trouble together. 😜🐾

Congratulations, Bubba! We are so happy you found your forever family — and we LOVE that you’re keeping the Dogworks family tradition going! ❤️🐾

🐾💙 We have some very special friends in our corner! 💙🐾

We are so incredibly grateful to our friends at West Suburban Animal Hospital who are hosting a donation drive for DogworksOhio! 🐶❤️

From Tuesday, September 1st through Tuesday, September 15th, they will have a donation bin in their lobby where you can drop off some much-needed items for our rescue dogs.

We can always use things like p*e pads, small toys, leashes, collars of all sizes, blankets, dog beds and treats. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue caring for the dogs who depend on us. 🐾

National Dog Day Adoption! 🐾❤️

And just like that… our sweet senior girl Susie Q has found her forever home! 🥹❤️

What better way to celebrate National Dog Day than with an adoption?! 🐶🎉

Just look at these two! You can see how happy Susie Q and her new mama are together. There’s something so special about seeing a senior dog finally get the happy ending she deserves. 🐾💕

Susie Q came to us with some pretty significant issues with her back legs, but that didn’t stop her from being the sweet, loving girl we knew she was. She just needed someone who could see past her age and special needs and love her for exactly who she is.

A huge thank you to Susie Q’s new mama for choosing to adopt a senior with special needs and giving this beautiful girl the forever home she has been waiting for. ❤️
