DogworksOhio Dogworks is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization based in Toledo, OH. Our purpose is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome dogs.

All dogs are located in foster homes throughout the hour radius we serve. Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until adoption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility. We strive to rescue as many dogs as we can, but the need for new fosters and volunteers is crucial to our continuing efforts!

💙 FINN HAS FOUND HIS PEOPLE! 🐾🏡

Well, look at Finn now! This little guy has officially found his forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for him! ❤️

Finn came to us through one of our rescue partners after being pulled from a home with too many dogs. He had a new beginning ahead of him, and now he has the best part of all… a family of his very own!

It’s always so special watching these little dogs move on to a life filled with love, comfort, and people who will call them their own. Finn’s next chapter is just beginning, and we hope it’s filled with all the snuggles, toys, and happiness he could ever want. 🥰

Congratulations, Finn! You are one lucky little guy, and we’re so happy you found your forever family! 💙🐶

💔 SPECIAL PLEA FOR MAYA 💔 SHE’S SAFE, BUT SHE STILL NEEDS A HOME!

Maya is safe. She has a place to sleep, she’s being cared for, and she’s no longer in her previous foster home. But our hearts hurt knowing that this sweet girl is spending her days in boarding when what she really needs is a home of her own. 😢

Remember Maya? She was found as a stray, completely emaciated and exhausted. She had clearly been through so much. Despite everything she had been through, she was still a loving girl who just wanted someone to care about her.

Maya is about 2–3 years old and weighs around 60 pounds. She’s a Pit Bull/Bulldog mix, and once she warms up to you, she wants to be right by your side. She’s a total Velcro girl who loves attention, cuddles, treats, and being with her people. She’s potty trained and knows some commands, too!

Maya can be nervous when she’s in new situations, so she needs someone who will give her a little time, patience, and encouragement while she learns to feel safe. She has done well with other dogs, but she’ll need slow, proper introductions. NO CATS.

We are thankful Maya is safe, but boarding is not where this girl belongs. She deserves a couch to curl up on, a person to follow around, a yard to enjoy, and a family who will finally make her feel like she belongs. She has already been through so much. We just want her to have the chance to live the life she deserves. ❤️

❤️ ROWEN HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME! ❤️

Some dogs go through more than their fair share, and sweet Rowen is one of them. 🥹

Rowen came to us with a shattered leg that was so badly injured it had to be amputated. But this girl has shown us that having three legs doesn’t mean you can’t live a full, happy life! She healed beautifully and never let being a tripod stop her from enjoying all the things a dog should.

Now her story has an even happier ending because Rowen has found her forever family! And the best part? She has a fur sister named Ivy Rose AND two human brothers to love on her! 🐾💕 She’s going to have lots of love and attention in her new home, and we couldn’t be happier for her!

Rowen has been through so much, and seeing her get the happy ending she deserves is what rescue is all about. ❤️

Happy life, sweet Rowen! You hit the jackpot with your new family, and we couldn’t be happier for you! We love you, girl! 🥹❤️🐾

We have a wonderful raffle going on, thanks to the generosity of Serenity Health & Wellness Center, who donated a prize valued at $150! 🙌

💕 Greta is now Jovie! And she’s HOME! 💕

Some of our dogs have spent so much of their lives knowing only the life of a puppy mill. They’ve never had the chance to experience all the little things that make a dog’s life so special. For our senior girl Greta, that chapter is finally behind her. 🥹

Greta has a new name, Jovie, and an even bigger gift… a family of her very own! And the best part? She has fur siblings to share this new adventure with! 🐾❤️

Senior puppy mill dogs are so deserving of the chance to spend their golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and people who see just how special they are. We can only imagine all the wonderful things waiting for Jovie, from cozy places to nap to gentle affection, furry friends by her side, and the security of knowing she’s finally home.

Sweet girl, you may have a new name, but we hope the best part of your new life is all the love that comes with it. No more breeding. No more living without a family to call your own. Just being a dog, enjoying your fur siblings, and finally getting to experience the life you always deserved. 💗

Looks like this handsome boy’s wish finally came true! ☄️🐾

Comet had quite a few people hoping to make him part of their family, but in the end, one special family was the perfect match for him!

This boy has a whole lot of love to give, and now he has a family of his very own to share it with. No more waiting for someone to choose him. His turn has come, and his next chapter is going to be filled with all the good stuff every dog deserves. ❤️
