June's dog of the month is... BUZZ aka Buzzard, Buzz Buzz, and many other names! He has been with us since the very 1st day we opened in 2022!

Dog of the month is open to all of the dogs that attend camp, ask for a paper at drop off or pick up or hop onto our private page for the PDF. Each month the winner is drawn from a bucket randomly and that dog gets to pick out a prize.

At K9 Elite, we love celebrating the dogs who make our days brighter, and Katie’s stunning hand-drawn pet portraits are the perfect way to honor them. She has something in the works for us and we are so excited to share it.

No filters, no AI, just incredible talent, artistry, and attention to detail. That is rare in 2026 with how prevalent AI is becoming and we are here for it. We need to support local and keep talented people like Katie in business.

New friend Maddie is learning the ropes of Day Camp in the summer 🏕️

Have you ever noticed that some of our new daycare dogs wear a leash and harness during their first few visits? There is a reason for that!

These tools are an important part of a safe and successful daycare introduction. The leash and harness give our staff an extra layer of control while we help a new dog navigate an exciting and often overwhelming environment filled with new dogs, people, sounds, and smells.

By keeping a leash attached, we can calmly guide dogs away from situations they may not be ready for, interrupt inappropriate play before it escalates, and help build positive social experiences. It also allows us to advocate for your dog while we learn their play style, communication signals, and comfort level around other dogs.

Our goal isn’t to restrict your dog’s fun, it’s to set them up for success. Taking introductions slowly helps build confidence, creates positive associations, and ensures that both your dog and their new friends have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Every dog deserves the chance to learn at their own pace, and sometimes a simple leash and harness are the simple tools that help make that happen

Confidence building doesn’t always look big obstacle course. Sometimes it’s a dog picking up a toy near the splash pad for the first time, walking through the water instead of around it, or choosing curiosity over hesitation.

Today’s splash pad & pool play was all about building confidence at each dog’s own pace, with toys, small groups with treats, encouragement, and lots of help from Hanson- everyone’s friend! Great job to Asa for braving the pool, he’s not quite ready for the splash pad yet but we will get there this summer.
