Situated on 9 beautiful acres in scenic Tiverton, RI, Seapowet Stables is an immaculately maintained and professionally managed 24 stall horse facility. Seapowet Stables provides personalized care to the hunter jumper horse and rider. Our clients enjoy 3 distinctive riding areas offering a variety of options to train. Seapowet Stables also proudly hosts numerous extended learning clinics and will soon be available for private functions.

As we wrap up another show season, I can’t help but feel incredibly proud and grateful for this amazing group of riders, horses, and families. It’s been a season full of hard work, growth, challenges, accomplishments, and so many memories along the way.

Of course, the ribbons are wonderful, but what means the most to me is watching these riders grow in confidence, build stronger partnerships with their horses, support one another, and celebrate each other’s successes. Those are the moments that make all the early mornings, long days, and hard work worth it.

I’m so thankful for our incredible horses, our dedicated riders, and the families who show up, pitch in, cheer each other on, and make this barn feel like so much more than just a place to ride. The friendships, camaraderie, and sportsmanship we share are what make this group so special.

To all of our riders, I hope you take a moment to appreciate just how far you’ve come this season. I’m proud of each and every one of you, and it’s been such a privilege to be part of your journey.

To all the memories we’ve made, the lessons we’ve learned, and everything still to come we are ready for 2027!

NEEC 2026!

We had an amazing two days at a final that holds such a special place in our sport. Steeped in history and tradition, NEEC is about so much more than the results. It’s the camaraderie between competitors, the sportsmanship, the encouragement, and the shared appreciation for an environment that makes this final so special. It’s a privilege to be part of a tradition that means so much to so many riders.

Wednesday, Colleen Curry and Louie Vuitton kicked things off for us with a focused and consistent performance, finishing 10th in the Open and 4th in the 46 & Over Final. What a fantastic way to close out an already wonderful season for this pair. Their hard work and dedication have been a pleasure to watch!

On Thursday Olivia Herfert and Charly Chaplin of Picobello Z finished 6th in the 18–21 Open and 9th in the Final. It was so great to see this pair back in the ring together, and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead for them.

Congratulations to both riders on a great showing, and thank you to everyone who makes NEEC such a meaningful experience year after year. The competition is what brings us there, but the people, the tradition, and the memories are what make it so special.

Four years of riding with us, and she still shows up ready to work.

At 73 years young, Caroline puts in the work year-round with so much grace, determination, and an incredible willingness to learn. Her partnership with our school horse Nigel is such a great reminder that there is no age limit on setting goals, improving your riding, or challenging yourself to be better.

She never stops asking questions, never stops learning, and never takes the easy way out. She simply keeps showing up, putting in the work, and enjoying the process.

I’m so proud of the progress she and Nigel have made over these four years, and even more grateful to have the opportunity to watch their partnership continue to grow.

73, four years in, and still learning. That’s the kind of horsewoman I hope every rider strives to be.

After a successful lease, congratulations to Gemma Kuten Lent on the purchase of Manfred!

These two have already become such a great team, and it has been so special to watch their partnership grow. We’re so excited to see where this next chapter takes them and look forward to watching them continue to learn, develop, and accomplish great things together!

October at the barn! The cooler mornings, changing leaves, and that feeling that a new season is beginning.

For our riders, fall is a time to put in the work—building confidence, developing skills, making plans, and setting new goals for the months ahead.

We’re looking forward to a busy fall and winter at Seapowet Stables, with opportunities for training, showing, and boarding available in our program.

Whether your goal is the show ring, developing a young horse, becoming a more confident rider, or simply enjoying your horse more, we’d love to talk about what the next chapter could look like for you and your horse.
