LUNA… RETURNED FOR LOVING TOO MUCH. Yes, you read that right.

Luna is a gentle 5-year-old German Shepherd who somehow ended up back at the shelter for one heartbreaking reason—she wanted to sleep too close to her person at night. Her only “mistake” was wanting to feel safe beside the human she trusted most.

She wasn’t returned for bad behavior.
Not because she was aggressive.
Not because she chewed things or caused trouble.

She was returned because her love was considered “too much.”

Now Luna spends her days curled up quietly in a small shelter bed, just like this—tucked into a soft blanket, watching the room with those big German Shepherd eyes that seem to ask a question she doesn’t understand.

She still startles at sudden sounds.
She still looks up every time footsteps pass.
And somehow, she still believes someone might choose her again.

All Luna wants is simple.

A warm place beside someone who doesn’t mind a dog leaning in a little closer.
A couch where cuddles are welcome.
A home where a loyal German Shepherd’s heart is seen as a gift, not a problem.

Luna doesn’t need fixing.

She just needs someone who will look at her, pat the bed beside them, and say:

“Come closer, Luna… you’re home now.” 🖤
