It is the first adoption facility with free-roaming cat rooms in the County, allowing adopters to interact with the cats in a more home-like setting.

Our SPCA campers create adoption posters each week, and this time sweet Scarlett chose Squanchy 🖍️😺

After learning about his unique needs, she captured his personality perfectly—we couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Please note: Squanchy’s adoption fee is sponsored, and he’s looking for a home with other FeLV+ cats or as the only cat.

Let’s find this special boy the loving home he deserves 🐾

If you are interested, please come by our adoption center and one of our cat staff would love to introduce you to Squanchy.

💦The SPCA of Brevard’s 10th Annual Summer Camp Kicked Off with a Splash! 💦

☀️Last week, we welcomed our Week 1 campers for fun-filled days of crafts, animal education, and—of course—plenty of snuggles with our furry friends! 🐾

It was a fantastic start, and we hope our campers had as much fun as we did. 😄

We’re excited to welcome our Week 2 group today and continue the summer fun! ☀️

*Please note: All SPCA Summer Camp sessions are currently sold out.

‼️UPDATE: All laundry for today has been picked up! We will update if help is needed for tomorrow morning. THANK YOU TO OUR AWESOME COMMUNITY! ‼️

🚨 🧼🐾URGENT: LAUNDRY HEROES NEEDED TODAY! 🐾🧼🚨
Our team at the SPCA of Brevard needs a helping hand from our amazing community today! Can you help us with some loads of laundry? 🧺🫧

We are experiencing some temporary water supply issues at our facilities. To ensure every drop of water we have goes directly to caring for our animals, we need to outsource our laundry for the moment! 🐶😺

Here is what you need to know to help:
📍Where to pick up: Our Adoption Center at 6035 Sisson Road, Titusville, FL 32780
⏰: Pick-up Window: TODAY between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
🕑: Drop-off Times: You can return the clean laundry today before 4:00 PM, or tomorrow (Monday) between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. (Please leave it in front of the doors as staff may be unavailable to grab immediately.)

We are always so incredibly grateful for how this community jumps into action whenever our animals have a need. Thank you all in advance for helping us keep things running smoothly! 💕

SQUEALS HAS GONE TO HIS FOSTER to ADOPT HOME

🐾Meet Squeals! 🐾

Squeals came to the SPCA as a stray and is now ready to find his forever home. He is an approximately 8 month old French Bulldog with a grey coat, weighing about 18 pounds. During his time with us, he has been neutered and microchipped.

Squeals is very friendly, loves to run and play, and especially enjoys chasing tennis balls!! 🥎

Earlier this week, one of our staff members—who also owns French Bulldogs—fostered him for an evening. She reported that he had an excellent temperament with her dogs, slept well in his crate, and made a good effort to potty outside (though as a puppy, he still had occasional accidents). We are unsure how he does with cats, so a slow introduction would be recommended.

🐶 He will be available for a foster to adopt contract to residents of Brevard County. His adoption fee is $250 and his adoption is on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’d like to meet Squeals, please stop by our adoption center for a meet-and-greet!

Feel Good Friday with Our Mutt Matchers! 🐾
Today we’re celebrating some of the amazing moments that happen here at the SPCA— many made possible by our incredible Mutt Matchers!

This week, one of our adorable pups found their forever home, and the family had one special request: they wanted Marlana, one of our Lead Mutt Matchers, in their adoption photo. Why? Because she—like all our Mutt Matchers—plays an essential role in creating these perfect, life-changing connections. 💛

Our Mutt Matchers are specially trained to make the adoption process easy and positive for both our shelter animals and the families who welcome them home. They spend every day getting to know our furry residents, learning their personalities, needs, and quirks so they can match them with the right people.
They also help educate adopters and fosters on what each pet needs to thrive—with the ultimate goal (as much as we love our pups!) of making sure they never come back, except maybe for a happy hello visit. 🐶

Without our Mutt Matchers, we wouldn’t be able to create so many heartwarming moments every single day. We SO appreciate each and every one of you!

✨ Ready to meet your new best friend? Come visit our adoption center, and one of our Mutt Matchers will be there to help you find your perfect match!

☀️💛Please take a moment to meet Sunkist 💛☀️a beautiful 4½-year-old, medium-sized, mixed breed boy with a stunning tan and white coat… and a heart that just needs a chance.

Sunkist hasn’t had the easiest start in life. He first came to our shelter in 2022, was adopted, and then sadly returned when his family’s situation changed. Now, after everything he’s been through, he’s struggling with kennel stress and desperately needs a calm, loving home — whether that’s a foster or adoptive forever family.

The good news? Sunkist has been working so hard. He just completed a 2-month stay with a behavioral specialist and made incredible progress. We want to keep that momentum going by getting him into a home as soon as possible — where he truly shines. ✨

Because once he’s in a home environment, Sunkist transforms.
He becomes a gentle, snuggly couch potato who walks beautifully on a leash, loves toys and is a HUGE fan of cheese🧀! He is non-destructive in homes and does well with free roaming, but he is also crate trained and finds comfort in that safe space.

Sunkist does have some challenges — he can be territorial and struggles with meeting new people. For that reason, he’s looking for:
✔️An adult-only home
✔️A quiet environment with minimal visitors
✔️ Calm pets, if any
✔️A family willing to give him patience, understanding, and structure

If guests do come over, Sunkist is perfectly content relaxing in his crate in another room where he feels safe. He doesn’t ask for much — just consistency, kindness, and a place to belong.

Our team will be there every step of the way. We’ll work closely with any potential foster or adopter to make sure you feel prepared, supported, and confident helping Sunkist settle into his new life. 💛☀️💛☀️

If you think your home could be Sunkist’s safe place to land, please come by our Adoption Center and have a meet and greet with one of our Mutt Matchers and Sunkist!

🐾We are extra thankful this 'Thankful Thursday' for our Borrowed Buddies!🐾
This Thursday three of our pups, Trigger, Timon and Pumba were picked up for an afternoon of fun-filled outings with awesome members of the community.

What can Borrowed Buddies do with doggy friends? 🐕‍🦺
You can take your buddy on an adventure, whether it’s a relaxing walk in the park, a “doggie date” at a pet-friendly café or simply enjoying some one-on-one time outside the shelter.

☀️These outings do more than just brighten your day—they give our adoptable dogs a much-needed break from the shelter environment, help them build social skills, and increase their chances of finding a forever home!

Thank you to all of our community members who are part of our borrowed buddy program. Want to learn more or sign up to be a borrowed buddy? Check out our website for more information! 🔗 https://www.spcabrevard.com/borrowed-buddies
