Today Redman/Finnick was more lively and showed me some affection. We worked on our sit and recall, down is still a little scary and heel walking is becoming tolerable as our attention span tends to wonder aimlessly at times. He was able to go out with a friend and that was very exciting. We finished our training session with a brush down that felt incredible on his butt. He no longer has had diarrhea or vomited up his meal. We will now gradually increase his daily ration and begin his weight gain journey. Thank you to all who have donated.

Finnick (previously Redman) Update 🐾

We are so happy to share that Finnick is doing well and settling into life outside of the shelter. While he is still adjusting — especially to a consistent feeding routine and the overall change in environment — he is making steady, positive progress every single day.

He’s becoming more confident, more curious, and more comfortable as he decompresses. We are seeing his personality start to shine through, and he is learning new things daily as he begins his rehabilitation and training journey.

This transition takes time, patience, and consistency, but he is absolutely worth it. We are incredibly proud of the strides he’s already making.

We are officially announcing that Redman/Finnick has been pulled and is now safe under the care of Lange’s Relic K9s 501(c) Rescue.

He is currently decompressing and settling in. Over the next 4–8 weeks, he will undergo structured Behavior Modification and extensive training to address reactivity, build stability, and ensure he is set up for a bright, healthy, and successful future.

Our process will include:
• Full behavioral evaluation
• Structured decompression period
• Customized behavior modification plan
• Obedience foundation and confidence-building
• Ongoing assessment for long-term success

All pledged funds will go directly toward food, veterinary care, professional training, and all necessary rehabilitation expenses.

He is safe. He is in capable hands. And we are committed to giving him every opportunity to thrive. Here’s to your new life, Redman!
