One of the first sermons I heard Pastor Chuck give was about going to the Source, and it has stuck with me since that day. 🩷
I remember sitting there listening and feeling something in my heart tell me, this is where I’m supposed to be.
God is the Source.
We spend so much time looking everywhere else for what we need. We look to people for reassurance, the world for answers, possessions for happiness, and ourselves for strength. And sometimes we forget to go directly to the One who is the source of it all.
I’m not perfect. I will never claim to be. I don’t always do what I should. I get lost. Sometimes I get REALLY lost. I get overwhelmed by life, distracted by things that don’t matter, and I forget that God has a purpose for me.
Sometimes I even forget to go to Him first.
But the beautiful thing about God is that when I find my way back, He is still there. 🙏🏼
The Source didn’t move.
When I’m weak, He is my strength. When I’m anxious, He is my peace. When I don’t know which direction to go, He is my guide. When I feel empty, He fills me. And when I forget who I am or what my purpose is, He reminds me that my story isn’t finished yet.
I’m still learning. I’m still growing. I’m still going to have days when I get it wrong.
But I’ll never forget that sermon or the feeling I had that day.
Go to the Source. 🩷
Not because you have everything figured out. Not because you’re perfect. But because you don’t have to be.
God already knows every imperfect part of us, and He still invites us to come to Him.
“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.” John 4:14 🙏🏼💧
And when I lose my way again, because I’m human and I probably will, I pray I always remember where to go.
Back to the Source. 🩷
