Periwinkle had been at the Sanctuary since 2020. Almost 7 years!

He is a shy guy that takes a moment to acclimate to new situations.
He’s very good at finding hiding spots.
Peri gets very scared in the carrier and new situations and will release his bladder and bowels when nervous.
Peri find the best way to get to know a new space is to scream at it.

If you’ve made it through Peri’s less than attractive qualities, let’s talk about the great qualities,

Periwinkle is a Siamese cat. He’s got gorgeous blue eyes. He loves love bombing. He likes cuddles and affection. He will coyly invite you to initiate a cuddle session. Once you start petting him, he is relentless for the attention. He will dance about, making biscuits, continuously bashing into you for more attention.

Peri is a complicated guy. He is very loving but also shy. Our volunteers have worked with him over the years and he has become a very beloved resident in our non-public area. It will take the right people for Periwinkle to find his home. He will need calm and patient people to learn and accommodate Periwinkle’s quirks. He is well worth the time and patience needed to befriend him. Once he claims you as his, the rewards are endless.

Meet Daisy Head Mayzie.

This pretty young girl found herself homeless, living amongst a large group of cats, and a young mom before she was even a year old.

Some of our trapping partners came in to help Trap/Neuter/Relocate and the colony.
But Daisy’s kittens were to small and sick to neuter, so they came to a foster home through the Sanctuary to grow up and heal.

While the kittens are still finishing up their round of vaccines, Mama Daisy has made it clear she’s done with motherhood and ready to be a free independent woman.

Daisy is a very loving, playful Siamese mix.
She’s loved cuddles. She will chirp at you for attention and is an expert biscuit dancer with her paws.

“I didn’t know my cat needed annual vaccines and wellness visits at the veterinarian’s office”.

We hear this a lot while screening adoption applications

We feel it’s our responsibility as volunteers and caretakers of the cats at the sanctuary to educate people about cat and cat care.

The number one reason to stay current on your cats vaccines is that it promotes a healthier cat.
Visit your veterinarian annually so that they can examine your cat and diagnose and treat any illnesses quickly.
Not only does your cat receive their annual vaccines at the visit.
They will also have a physical exam and can help diagnose issues like ear infections or tartar buildup on their teeth.
The same goes for your pups as well.

All of the cats at Our Farm Sanctuary have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP, FELV and Rabies, Combo tested for FIV, FELV & Heartworm, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed.
We do not adopt out kittens younger than 12 weeks so that they can receive their full round of vaccinations prior to adoption.

All of our kitties see the veterinarian at lease once a year when due for their annual vaccines and wellness checks.
If you notice any problems, discomfort or behavior changes, you may need additional visits to the veterinarian throughout the year.

If your cat (or dog) has not seen the veterinarian in over a year, give them a call and schedule an appointment today.

It’s Vet Tech week celebrating our Veterinarian’s right hand. Drop off a treat for them and all your Vet Staff when scheduling that annual visit.

Thanks for listening to our Ted Talk.

We had an amazing turn out yesterday for Trick or Treat at Our Farm Sanctuary!

We estimate over 200 children visited the farm, met the animals, trick or treated for fun, candy, and games.
We only had 150 pumpkins in our pumpkin patch this year and all were adopted by the children.

Hot dogs, popcorn, and apple c***r slushies disappeared as quickly as we could make them.

It was a wonderful event.

If you missed it this year, mark your calendars for Sunday October 17, 2027 for next years free family friendly festivities.

Thank you to the Scouts of America that helped with the event.

Thank you Perfectly Imperfect Pet Rescue for joining us!

Thank you Kylee and Jimmy for manning the grill to provide a free meal to everyone.

Thank you Monnin’s Fruit Farm for providing us with pumpkins, hay bales and decorations

Thank you everyone
