Megalancistrus cf. Barrae.
I am unsure on this id these days so i am adding the cf. I have imported barrae before and they are much darker. Hence the name the black ashura pleco. In recent times they have been capturing this fish and labeling it the Gold barrae. Megalancistrus are not the best studied genus so the ID is not 100% but its my opinion. These are attractive fish. The markings are worm lined. The black and gold contrast is really cool. Like most Megalancistrus wear gloves the fish is incredibly prickly.

We received some really nice Hypostomus from the Uruguay river. Some phase 1 luteus with the yellow tails and some phase 1 like this. All black with vibrant spots. Very attractive and a cool temperature tolerant species. This fish is a 💎 with the tall dorsal. I know some mentioned it resembled a Hypostomus rosepunctatus. Possible ?

Pygocentrus piraya from the Sao francisco. It has been a few years since i last had these fish. They are quarantined and lice free. Worth mentioning as these fish are notorious for those gross little buggers. Currently about 2.5in in size but keep in mind these grow very large and are eye candy the whole way. In my opinion best kept solo but we have seen many school them successfully long term.

Really good quality black and white king tigers are in. It is easy to see why the L333 has been such a hot fish over the years as this is a freshly imported wild fish not a fancy line breed. From nature it has been a super star and we have seen breeders make absolutely remarkable fish with selective breeding.

We have them from two different collection points in brazil. While they are all considered the same species the different collection points each have a different look. Here we have L27C followed by L027A. Notice the different base colorations and patterning. The L027A comes from our good partner from south brazil and the L027C comes from our good partner in the very north of brazil. As google will give you mixed results does anyone know the full alphabet plus river points ?
