Want a career with dogs, but not sure where to start?
Domestic Dog Training is looking for a reliable, hard-working Dog Trainer Assistant to help care for dogs in our structured training-based facility. This is not a sit-around-and-play-with-dogs job. You’ll be doing real, hands-on work - feeding, cleaning, walking, supervising, and helping with basic training sessions alongside our professional trainers. It’s a fast-paced but rewarding job for someone who wants to learn the ropes and grow in the dog training field.
Responsibilities
-Clean kennels, feed dogs, administer medications, and ensure a safe, sanitary environment
-Rotate dogs outside for potty breaks, walks, and structured exercise
-Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
-Assist with basic obedience and behavior training sessions under trainer supervision
-Learn leash handling, timing, and how to support structured routines
-Monitor dog behavior and report any changes or concerns
-Keep accurate daily notes and follow care instructions
-Maintain a calm, professional demeanor around high-energy dogs
