One year of She Walks Dogs. 🐾🤍

A year ago, I started this little business during a time in my life that was filled with a lot of unknowns. I needed something that gave me a sense of purpose, and somehow, the idea for She Walks Dogs came to me. In one evening, I put the idea together and decided to just go for it. I honestly had no expectations for it to become what it has today.

Looking back, I am so proud of myself for taking that chance and, most importantly, for sticking with it. This business has given me so much more than I ever expected. It has challenged me, helped me grow, and given me a chance to build confidence in myself that I didn't have a year ago. I've learned that I really can take an idea, believe in it, and turn it into something real. 🤍

But I couldn't have done it without all of you.

To everyone who has trusted me with your pets, supported my business, recommended me to others, and welcomed me into your homes, thank you. You have all been so incredibly kind, generous, and supportive, and I am beyond grateful for every single person who has been a part of this journey.

She Walks Dogs has brought me so much joy, and I am so thankful that an idea I had has turned into something I am genuinely so proud of.

Here's to one year of wagging tails, happy pups, new friendships, and believing that you can turn your dreams into a reality. 🐶✨

I’ve been spending lots of time with my beautiful friend Peaches lately 🐶🍑💛 We’ve been doing drop-in visits and soaking up all the cuddles and playtime!

Just a little reminder to think ahead and get on my schedule 🤍 Setting up a meet & greet in advance makes it so easy for you to call me whenever you need walks or drop-ins! I love knowing the plan ahead of time, but I also always try to stay flexible for those last-minute plans, so never hesitate to reach out!

With spring coming up, don’t forget to schedule walks for your pups 🌷☀️ They’re missing the sunshine just as much as we are!

🐾 Midday Drop-In Visits! 🐶

Lately, I’ve been doing 30-minute drop-in visits a few times a week with these lovely pups! Our routine starts with everyone getting out of their crates and heading outside for a good stretch and some fresh air.

Each dog has their own personality — one loves to play fetch the entire time, while the others are all about pets and cuddles! I’ve found that 30 minutes is the perfect amount of time — by the 25-minute mark, everyone’s ready for a water break and some last-minute love before heading back to their crates. 💕✨

These drop-in visits are such a great option for anyone who’s away from home for more than 4 hours. They help break up the day, release energy, and keep your pups happy and healthy!

As one dog blog put it perfectly:

“Excess crate time leads to problem behaviors because your dog will leave the crate full of pent-up energy and frustration. Once your dog is fully crate trained, if you need to leave them alone for more than three or four hours at a time, consider using doggie daycare or hiring a pet sitter instead.”

🐾 This past weekend I had the pleasure of dog sitting Frank the French Bulldog! 💛 Frank has such a fun personality and was the best company. Most of our time was spent snuggling (his favorite, I think 😉), and the rest was filled with playing, going on walks, and enjoying the fresh air together. I sure hope Frank enjoyed our time as much as I did!

I’m so excited to share that I am offering overnight dog sitting! 🐕✨ Whether you’re gone for a night, a weekend, or longer, I’ll be there to keep your pup happy, comfortable, and cared for — just like Frank.

🐾 Big thank you to Evie (and her wonderful owner!) for trusting me with today’s walk 💛

Our first outing together went so well — she’s such a sweet girl! We also noticed a few areas we’ll keep working on, like leash pulling and resisting the temptation of squirrels & bunnies 🐿️🐇

I’m so grateful to start building these bonds — both with pups and their humans. Here’s to many more walks, wiggles, and wagging tails! 🐕✨

💵 $18 per 30-minute walk

For the first walk you book, I ask that owners be home so your pup feels comfortable meeting me for the first time 💛 (The owner who booked the walk must be the one present).

👋 Hi everyone! My name is Alivia Smith, and I’m so excited to introduce my new dog walking service — She Walks Dogs 🐾

My love for dogs started when I was six, when my parents gifted me a little yorkie poo named Henrey. He wasn’t just a pet — he was my best friend. If you asked anyone in my family, they’d tell you without hesitation that I was Henry's favorite person. We grew up side by side, and he taught me that a dog truly can be your best friend. 🐶💛

When Henry passed in 2018, I knew that one day I’d want a yorkie poo of my own to carry on that bond. In September 2024, that dream came true when I found Nash — my sweet puppy. Just three days after finding him, I drove six hours by myself to bring him home, and it was the best decision ever. Nash is truly an angel, and he reminded me how much joy dogs bring to life.

At the time, I was living in an apartment with two roommates — each with their own dog — plus one of their boyfriends’ dogs who was basically part of the pack. Needless to say, our home was a zoo 🐾 but we loved every second of it. Together, we learned how to raise and train our pups, and I realized how natural it felt to care for dogs. The joy they bring is unmatched — and now I want to give that same joy back to them through She Walks Dogs.

✨ My approach is patient and adaptive. Every dog has their own personality and needs — whether it’s an energetic puppy who needs excitement and redirection, or an old soul who needs gentle care and a tender hand. Maybe your dog is a unique mix of both! I believe patience is the key to building trust, because while we don’t speak the same language, dogs do communicate — and with quality time, we can understand each other.

That’s where I come in. I know life gets busy, and sometimes giving your pup that extra patience and attention can be tough — and that’s OKAY. That’s what She Walks Dogs is here for 🐾

🌟 The future of She Walks Dogs is very bright in my eyes! For now, I’m focused on building strong connections with you and your pup to make sure your needs are met — and hopefully exceeded! But down the road, I dream of expanding to offer more services, like training sessions, dog and pet sitting, overnight care, socialization walks, and maybe even grooming.

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes on a passion project that’s finally almost ready to take shape! 🐾

She Walks Dogs is almost here.💕

I am not officially open for walks just yet, but I wanted to start spreading the word and start building this little community. 🫂

As a Tiffin resident (born & raised🏡) and lifelong dog lover, my dream is to bring reliable and loving care to the pups right here in my hometown💞
