🚨 It’s HOT out there, and your pets feel it even more than you do! ☀️🐾

When the heat index climbs, our furry companions can’t cool off the way we can. Imagine wearing a heavy winter coat outside in this weather yikes, right?

💧 Here’s how you can help them beat the heat:
🏡 Keep them indoors during the hottest parts of the day
🥤 Make sure they have fresh, cool water at all times
🌳 Limit walks to early morning or late evening
🚗 NEVER leave them in a parked car, not even “just for a minute”

Signs of overheating in pets include:
• Heavy panting or drooling
• Lethargy or confusion
• Vomiting or collapse

If you notice any of these signs, don’t wait, seek care immediately. Heatstroke is serious and can be life-threatening.

Ticks........They’re Smaller Than You Think! 🐾

As the weather warms up, ticks are becoming active again. Although they don't die off in the winter like many people think!

Many of them are tiny, sometimes no bigger than a poppy seed, which makes them very easy to miss on your pet’s fur. 🐶🐱

Ticks aren’t just a nuisance. They can carry and spread serious diseases to both pets and people, including Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. That’s why regular tick prevention and daily tick checks are so important during this time of year.

What you can do to protect your pet:
✔️ Use a veterinarian-recommended flea and tick preventative YEAR-ROUND!!!!
✔️ Check your pet daily, especially around ears, neck, belly, and between toes
✔️ Contact us if you find a tick or notice any unusual symptoms like lethargy, limping, or loss of appetite

If you’re unsure which prevention is best for your pet, we’re happy to help you choose a safe and effective option.

Keeping your pets protected now can prevent serious health issues later! 💚
