🐾 Happy National Make a Dog’s Day! 🐶

Today is all about making our four-legged friends feel extra loved! Whether it’s an extra treat, a little playtime, or a cozy spot to cuddle, every dog deserves to feel special. ❤️

We have some wonderful dogs at the Humane Society of Seneca County who are still waiting for their forever homes. Maybe today is the day you meet your new best friend!

Help us celebrate by sharing some love with your own pups or considering adoption. You could make a shelter dog’s whole world brighter! 💕

🐾❤️ Meet Jerry! ❤️🐾

Jerry is another sweet boy from the same humane case as Larry and Hyacinth, and he’s hoping his next chapter will be one filled with love, comfort, and a family of his own!

Like his friends, Jerry is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t mean he can’t live a long, happy, healthy life! Many FIV-positive cats do wonderfully for years with proper care and regular veterinary checkups. FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not through casual contact like sharing food bowls, grooming, or cuddling. FIV-positive cats can often live with FIV-negative cats when everyone gets along and fighting is unlikely.

A positive FIV status doesn’t define Jerry or all the wonderful things he has to offer. He deserves a chance at a loving home just as much as any other cat! 💕

Could you be the person who gives Jerry his happy ending? Come meet him! ❤️

Thank you so much for choosing to help the animals. We appreciate all the help our amazing community has provided and continues to provide for the animals.

A Slice of Giving Back to Our Community

Today, Downtown Tiffin presented a $6,252 donation to the Humane Society of Seneca County, representing funds raised during the 2026 Downtown Tiffin Third Thursday Pizza Party.

This donation will support the Humane Society's mission of giving animals a second chance at a happy, healthy life. From providing shelter and care to connecting animals with loving families through adoption and foster programs, their work makes a difference for animals throughout Seneca County.

A huge thank you to our participating pizza vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who came downtown to enjoy a slice (or two) while supporting a great cause.

When our community comes together, even a slice of pizza can make a big difference.
