7 Puppies from Kansas and Quinn breeding went to their new homes this weekend. They are going to make excellent pets and most will also become superior upland Bird-dogs.
Kansas bred with Basil, the litter is due the end of October and if all goes well, these puppies would be ready for their new homes the end of December. Anyone wanting a bird dog this upcoming litter would be an excellent age for next hunting season.

This is the Pheasants Forever area known the Kelbley Wildlife area that was sprayed early July. The woody brush and Invasive Autum Olive is really dying off. The last picture shows an area of warm season grass that was pretty w**d free and free of woody brush and looking good. Maintianing good habitat isn't an exciting story but it's work that must be done to have good habitat for wildlife and water quality.

Man once that bird is shot Kansas makes on very quick retrieve. This video was during the cool weather several days earlier.

Another video of Seneca she jumps up and catches a quail out of the air. Seneca retrieves to hand so nicely. Seneca is still only 1 year old, it won't be long and she'll be two years old. Last year when she was truly just a pup, she wasn't retrieving to hand very well and while trying to improve her retieving in training we had some serious set backs that really worried me. We took a brake from training then and took an entirely different approach, which worked.

Kansas our English Springer pup that is 12 months old having fun time upland hunting on this unseasonably cool day June 27th. Kansas can really shine bright and the next moment be a total puppy. With proper experience & exposure hopefully we see the shining young dog most all of the time.
