We can learn a lot about how to live from the dogs we spend our time with.

Dogs are absolute masters of living in the present moment. They don’t carry yesterday’s stress, and they aren’t worrying about what tomorrow holds. They are entirely right here, right now, and that’s a perspective worth paying attention to.

While a fresh tennis ball or a favorite squeaky toy is great, nothing compares to watching a dog step out into the wild. Their senses light up, their focus sharpens, and you can see a deeper, natural instinct take over. They love the outdoors because nature is raw, real, and happening in real-time.

When we take them out into the woods, onto the trails, or into the marsh, we get a front-row seat to them doing what they do best: thriving in the present. And if we pay close enough attention, they might just teach us how to do the same.

Take a moment today to step outside, take a deep breath, and just be present.

We wanted to give a big thank you to all of you for your continued support and appreciation. It means the world to us!!! We even recently received the sweetest thank-you card from one of our favorite pups whose owners just got back from Hawaii!

Thank you for letting us be a part of you and your dogs' lives.❤️

When Roux’s owners reached out, they let us know he had reactive tendencies around both people and other dogs. Every successful training journey starts with honesty, and Roux was ready to tackle the work!

We’ve been focusing on:

Smart choice-making in environments with triggers.

Building reliability with core commands (recall, stay, heel)

Creating positive, controlled experiences around his triggers

During today’s outing, we put Roux to the test with walking skills, recall, stays, and structured free time. The big victory? Giving him the space to see people walking with dogs and watch him choose calm over reaction.

Big progress for this handsome Catahoula Leopard Dog! Keep up the great work, Roux! 🐕✨

After 2 weeks of hard work, we have reunited our poodle housemates with their owners!!

During our go-home lesson today, we walked through all the key handler skills, threshold boundaries, and daily routines needed to transition their progress back into the home environment.

Huge shoutout to both the pups and their owners for all the hard work, we couldn’t be prouder of how far everyone has come!🙌👏

We may be a bit soggy today, but we are all gearing up for the big day tomorrow!! Curly and Phife the poodle house mates are getting ready for their go-home session with their owners! So we are working on final touch-ups with our walking, practicing our downs, reliable recalls, and holding steady at thresholds. These two have put in some awesome work during their stay!

We are super excited to hand the leash back over to their humans tomorrow! Going to be awesome getting everyone on board 🙌🐾

Curly, the poodle, is getting practice in today, working with a new handler on his walking skills.
It is important for our board and trains to not only work with the trainer, but also get used to working with other handlers.

Great job Curly! 🐾😊

Even on rainy days, you can still get the work in! 💦

This morning, we had a great outing with Roux to practice his car manners! (Which he rocked!) Along with some solid "stay" work.

Super job, buddy! ❤️

Curly has been working on thresholds since his first day here!! It's a very important part of our process, creating a dog that follows a permission based lifestyle!! This helps regulate energy levels and creates focu!

Super great job Curly! 🐾❤️
