Our beautiful "Adhara" my first Tarantula and the punk that got me addicted to these amazing creatures. She is a female Grammostola Pulchra aka "Brazilian Black" her species is native to Brazil as their common name would suggest, their natural habitat is the highland grasslands of Brazil so she prefers a dry environment with constant access to water. The males of this species will reach sexual maturity after 5-6 years and usually only live for approximately 1 more year, however females like Adhara here can live up to 30 years!! Her temperament is fairly docile and she is usually a slow mover. This being said when provoked she can move fast and has almost 1 inch fangs!! Watch our YouTube channel to see her take down some roaches!

Snapped a few great photos of Stryker last night. She is one of our 20+ Python Regius more commonly known as the Ball Python or Royal Python. These snakes originally came from West Africa. However since brought into the reptile hobby this species has become a hobby unto themselves, they are now available in a countless number of breathtaking morphs that make it difficult to believe they are all the same species. This young snake in particular is a two Gene female including yellow-belly and Mojave. Ball pythons are extremely docile and at full size do not get much larger than an adult humans arm. Ball pythons are also exceedingly simple to care for. The name ball python comes from their habit of Simply curling into a ball at the slightest sign of trouble, striking usually comes from mistaking for food as the snakes are smart enough to know we are not food. If you are considering a reptile or snake hobby I cannot recommend ball pythons enough these guys are fantastic and look how beautiful!! 😍😍😍

The breathtaking and incredibly shy Heteroscondra Maculata "Togo Starburst Ornamental Baboon". This Spider inhabits West Africa and reaches full size at around 5" within 3 years or so. While they have the signature thick back legs they are not actually a part of the subfamily of Baboon spiders, a good example of the problems common names can create.
