🐾💪 Fitness Level I & Tricks starts TONIGHT! 💪🐾

There is still time to join us! Class begins tonight, June 9, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM with John McLemore.

This is a 6 week class meeting June 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7, and July 14. The full session is $150, payable tonight by cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.

Dogs come to the first class and every class. We’re excited to get started!

A special note on location and parking: class will be outdoors in our new Ring 2B, which is behind and beside Ring 2A, where TDAA and Beginner Agility classes take place.

Please turn left immediately after entering the property through the gate and park at the far end of the agility trial parking area along the orange fencing. There is a break in that fence line where you can walk through, and from there it is a short, straight walk to the gates of Ring 2B.

Come on out tonight! If you can, please give John a quick email at [email protected] to let him know you’re coming.

🐾🏆 SPECIAL PPP CLASS PROMOTION for Petit Prix teams! 🏆🐾

If you are registered for the TDAA 2026 Petit Prix Tournament, you can attend our Petit Prix Prep classes for HALF OFF!

That means:
💜 $15 per class instead of the usual $30 drop-in rate
🩵 Available only to teams already entered in the Petit Prix Tournament
🐾 Applies to individual pay-as-you-go class payments only

Class cards may still be used for PPP classes, as well as and interchangeably with regular Intermediate/Advanced Agility drop-in classes, but the discount does not apply to class card purchases or "punches".

Our Petit Prix Prep class is designed to help teams practice, prepare and build confidence for the 2026 Petit Prix Tournament taking place August 1–2 in Lakeland, Florida. We’ll be practicing TDAA-style courses and games, reviewing rules and helping teams get more comfortable with the skills and strategy they may need for the tournament.

Not entered in Petit Prix? You can still attend PPP classes at the regular rate if you have a TDAA dog and handler team, or if your dog is under 20 inches at the withers, over 12 months old, and you are interested in teacup-style agility for fun, practice, or to learn more about TDAA.

We are also using this summer class as a test run for possible TDAA-centric classes in future sessions, so your interest and participation help us plan what comes next!

A schedule will be posted showing which games will be covered each week so teams can choose classes based on the experience they want most.

And if you are planning to enter Petit Prix but have not sent your entry yet, this is your reminder: GET THOSE ENTRIES IN NOW!

Entries close June 25, 2026. This is a RECEIVED BY date, not postmarked by. Please allow plenty of mailing time for your entry to reach Wisconsin, as some teams have reported mail taking a week or more.

Let’s get those teacup teams ready to show just how AWESOME they are! 💜🩵🐶

Ring 2B has been fenced/marked off and is ready for classes next week! This is where John’s classes will take place, starting with Fitness Level I & Tricks Tuesday, June 9 at 6:00-7:00 PM.

The rest of the property is getting a “haircut” 💇🏻‍♀️ so the little pups don’t feel like they’re in a jungle out there. 😂

🐾 Thinking about beginning agility with your dog? 🐾

We are not offering Beginner Agility in our Summer Session starting next week because we did not have enough new teams ready to start, but we would love to hear from anyone interested in a future Beginner Agility class.

To help set teams up for success, we ask that dogs complete our Puppy and/or Basic Obedience class before starting Beginner Agility. That means NOW is a great time to join our Summer Session obedience classes and get that foundation in place before a possible fall Beginner Agility class.

Message us or email [email protected] with questions or interest. We would love to help you and your dog get started on the path to agility. It’s an awesome team sport, and we love helping dogs and handlers learn to work together. After all, it takes two to Q! 💜🩵🐶

🐾 Agility Class Update & What’s Next! 🐾

Reminder: Intermediate/Advanced Agility classes do NOT meet tomorrow, Thursday, June 4.

Beginner Agility WILL meet tomorrow evening, Thursday, June 4, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM to make up the class postponed from last week.

We are so proud of our Beginner Agility teams and how much progress they have made this session! Starting next week, we hope our Intermediate/Advanced Agility students will help give our Beginner graduates an AWESOME welcome as they continue their training journey.

Intermediate/Advanced Agility Drop-In classes starting next week:

🐕 Tuesdays
8:00 to 9:30 AM

🐕 Thursdays
8:00 to 9:30 AM

🐕 Thursdays
7:00 to 8:30 PM

Drop-in pricing is $30 per class, or you may purchase an 8-class punch card for $200. Punch cards do not need to be used in consecutive weeks and may be used across eligible Intermediate/Advanced Agility class days.

While we do not have a strict reservation policy, it is very helpful if you message Tiffanie when you plan to attend. This is especially helpful if you are new to the class, planning to try a different day or time, or are usually expected at a certain class but cannot make it.

For agility questions, class placement, or to let us know you are coming, please email Tiffanie at [email protected].

Beginner graduates are also invited to consider John’s Fitness Level I & Tricks class:

🐾 Tuesdays
6:00 to 7:00 PM
6 week session starting June 9
June 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7, 14
$150 for the session
Instructor: John McLemore, CPDT-KA, FFCP

This class is a great option for learning canine body awareness, safe fitness foundations, stretching, warm-ups, and fun trick skills that can support agility work. It is not required before joining Intermediate/Advanced Agility, and teams are welcome to take it alongside agility, later on, or simply for fun and enrichment.

Many agility obstacle performances and related skills may also count toward trick title goals, so this can be a fun way to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork beyond the agility ring.

We are excited to keep the Awesome Training, Awesome Fun going with all of you! 💜🩵🐶

Do you have a new puppy, a new rescue, a young dog who needs manners, or a dog who could use a refresher? Please join us for Thursday evening classes with John McLemore, CPDT-KA, FFCP, starting June 11!

Thursdays, 6:00 to 7:00 PM
8 week course, $200
June 11, 18, 25
July 2, 9, 16, 23
August 6

Our AKC STAR Puppy class gives young puppies the best possible start with positive, playful training focused on early manners, socialization, confidence, and foundation skills. Handlers learn communication and reinforcement strategies, and the AKC STAR Puppy evaluation is included.

🐕 Basic Obedience & CGC Skills
Thursdays, 7:30 to 8:30 PM
8 week course, $200
June 11, 18, 25
July 2, 9, 16, 23
August 6

This class builds everyday manners and strengthens skills connected to the AKC Canine Good Citizen program, including sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking, polite greetings, and working around distractions. It is a great next step after puppy class, a helpful refresher for adult dogs, and a strong foundation for future training goals. CGC evaluation is not included in this class, but teams interested in the CGC title are encouraged to continue into our CGC Prep & Evaluation class.

Please note:
🐾 First class is people only, no dogs, so we can cover housekeeping, expectations, and human questions before adding puppy excitement to the mix
🐾 July 30 classes do not meet while Awesome Critters is preparing for TDAA’s 2026 Petit Prix
🐾 Please hold August 13 as a possible make up date in case of weather, instructor emergency, or other rescheduling needs
🐾 Payment is due the first day of class by cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle

These classes are not just for people planning to compete or go into dog sports. They are for building a better relationship with your dog, creating confidence, practicing around other dogs and people, and making real life outings more enjoyable. They also help pave the way for future activities like agility, fitness, tricks, and more.

Please, please, please reach out TODAY if you are interested. Summer schedules are being finalized now, and your sign up helps us build the classes our community wants to see happen!

Email John at [email protected] or message us here on Facebook to ask questions or reserve your spot.

And please share this post or tag friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone you know who has recently brought home a puppy or new dog. Rescues absolutely included!
