The hard reality:

In order for me to stay open, I need to be making $400 a day minimum. Most days I average $75-$150. Just being fully transparent.
This isn’t a side hobby. It’s a full time career for me.
What I want people to understand is this is a very physically demanding job much like any other hard labor job.
I work with a living animal that moves around and have to make sure I do not harm them in any way. Bending, lifting, twisting, using my hands and my brain to focus.
I have to collect proper tools, shampoos, sanitization and continue education.
I eat the cost of many things because most feel my prices are too high already but I am still below the industry standard in what I ask for. Others are also too afraid to ask what they are worth because of what they feel is expected in a small town.
Businesses need to pay back more than you know. It doesn’t just go in our pockets.
While I understand some may not have the budget and cannot afford my prices, it is important for you to know what goes into it and what you SHOULD be expecting.
I am attaching examples of costs. The red circle is what I pay regularly when it’s not on sale.
This is just for some shampoos and blades.
That’s not including shipping for products or mail in servicing.

Edit to add; don’t take this as an ‘I hate my job’ type post. The animal industry has been almost my whole life and I wouldn’t want any other job. Why give up the experience I have for something else?! 💜🐾
