We have had such a busy week with some of the girls! Uriel, Uma, Aryah, Kassi and Reign all had their special time with mom this week!
Between knocking out annual vet visits and enjoying days out with mom, socializing at various spots around town—though I didn't get pictures at every single place with every dog, I promise you, we were noticed at every location! Each girl does so well being out and about, and giving each one their individual attention for a few hours brings me so much joy! I know they love it just as much, too. 🐾
Plus, most every person we encounter adores seeing them, petting them and giving some lovin! We do have an occasional person that is a little fearful to see such a BIG dog- we just keep our distance and give that person the space they need to pass us. (Some people have never even seen such giant babies before).
Numerous people ask to take pictures of our babies and we kindly smile and gladly agree.
***Here at Field of Dream Danes, we work from day one on socialization and training our dogs. It is so important to do this, especially with such a giant breed like a Great Dane. They love BIG and they love HARD—so making sure they know how to act both at home and in public is vital to their growth and behavior.
Seeing them handle the world with such poise makes all the dedication so rewarding! 🖤🤍✨
Anddddd...before any "Keyboard warrior" says anything- YES- we have well trained dogs but we also make sure they have the pinch collar on, while out in public. Me, being my size, need to always make sure their safety, my safety and other people's safety is #1 priority. At the end of the day- they are still dogs, and I never want to be in a situation where I can't handle or control my dog if need be.
