Dr. Blake Marcello was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He graduated from E.D.White High School in 2001. Dr. Blake then attended Nicholls University for his Biology Major. He then attended St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine and finished his veterinary training at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. During this clinical year is when he met his future wife, Astrid Marcello. Si

nce he is a proud Thibodaux native, returning to his community has always been one of his top priorities. Dr. Blake served the Houma/Raceland communities for 15 years through Marcello Veterinary Hospital. The clinics were acquired by PetVet in April 2022 and Dr. Blake remained as Medical Director until April 2024. When not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and working in the Thibodaux community. Dr. Blake has proudly served for 23 years in the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department in Company No. 1. Dr. Blake is proud to own and operate LAVet Hospital on North Canal Blvd, Thibodaux. This will be a locally owned and managed state of the art diagnostic center to serve the community with quality and progressive medicine for small animals
