We have a question: How much does color affect the horse you buy? We love our Metal Head (Metal Doc) but he is AA so it’s mostly bays and reds for him. Chuck throws every color roan. What is your preference out there in the Big Nowhere of Facebook land? PC Karissa Stewart

Truer words were never written! One of the biggest hearted horses we ever had was a tiny, line bred cutting horse. That family tree was straight! But Buddha was the kindest biggest hearted horse he was just built too small for the mountains and his bone didn’t match his heart. Asa convinced me that it would be better to sell him as he would t hold up but man he had soo much try!

If you have a kid show up wanting to work or trade for riding etc teach them. People and horses don’t always match their looks

We have all made the mistake of judging horses and people from their appearance.
I’ve rode some very plan looking horses that had a lot of try and a big Heart. And on the other side I’ve rode and trained pretty horses with perfect confirmation and no Heart.
People look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the Heart” ( Samuel 16:7)
