🐾 DID YOU KNOW? Theodore Veterinary Hospital is one of only TWO veterinary clinics in Alabama offering Synovetin OA® for dogs with joint arthritis!

Is your dog:
• Stiff or slow getting up?
• Limping or falling behind on walks?
• Hesitating at stairs or getting into the car?
• Playing less than they used to?

These changes may be more than “just getting older”—they could be signs of joint pain.

Synovetin OA targets inflammation within the treated joint to help reduce arthritis pain and improve mobility, with relief lasting up to ONE YEAR from a single treatment. Results vary, and our veterinarians can determine whether your dog is a candidate.

Watch this dog’s story—you may recognize some of the same changes in your own pup!

📅 NEXT TREATMENT DAY: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29

Could your dog benefit? Call Theodore Veterinary Hospital at 251-653-7831 with questions or to schedule an evaluation.

More comfortable walks. More playtime. More moments together.

🐱🚗 The Right Carrier Makes All the Difference!

Did you know that choosing the right carrier can make trips to the vet (or anywhere else!) much less stressful for your cat? 💕

A good cat carrier should:
✨ Be large enough for your cat to comfortably stand, turn around, and lie down
✨ Have plenty of ventilation
✨ Be sturdy and secure
✨ Be easy to clean in case of accidents
✨ Ideally have a removable top, making it easier to get your cat in and out without forcing them through the door

Even our most well behaved pets should be kept in a carrier when visiting different environments. This will ensure that they can not go anywhere if spooked, or if they become too stressed while out of their comfort zone😸

💡 Tip: Leave the carrier out at home with a cozy blanket and some treats inside. This allows your cat to become familiar with it and helps make the carrier feel like a safe space and not something that only appears when it’s time for a stressful car ride! 🐾

A little preparation can make a BIG difference in your cat’s comfort. 🐱💗

Fun Fact!🧠💡

🐾 Did you know your dog has a unique nose print?

The pattern of ridges, creases, and bumps on a dog’s nose is unique to that individual dog, no two dogs are thought to have exactly the same nose print.

Just like human fingerprints, those patterns develop early in life and remain relatively consistent throughout a dog’s lifetime. That means your dog’s nose could potentially be used as a form of identification! 🐾

👃 A dog’s nose is also incredibly sensitive. The unique texture isn’t just for identification, it helps with their amazing sense of smell and can help them detect tiny differences in scent.

💡Nose-print identification has actually been used by some organizations and kennel clubs as a way to identify individual dogs.

And that little wet nose? 💧 It can help trap scent particles, making it easier for dogs to process smells.

Basically… your dog has their own built-in fingerprint, right on their face! 🥹🐶❤️
