Ready for some puppy action? Maybe Jude is the one for you. This super playful pup has lots of energy and wants someone to play with. He would love a home with another young, playful pup (his energy may be too much for the older crowd).

Luke is a 3 year old boy who might as well be the poster child for Scottish Terriers. Luke personifies (doggifies?) the traditional characteristics of Scotties: independent, strong willed, sensitive, intelligent, and sometimes aloof. Erling here to say thank you to everyone who donated for my surgery. The dogtor said it went well and if I do my exercises, I should recover completely. While I do my exercises, I am also preparing for heartworm treatment. That includes getting monthly heartworm prevention. Did you give your furry friends their prevention today?

Introducing the newest member of Team Wescue: Ro! (Can you tell we are still a little obsessed with World Cup fever?😉)

Ro came to us from an area shelter where she was taken as part of a hoarding confiscation. We don’t have many details, just enough to know this sweet girl needed us. Ro is heartworm positive and will be visiting our vet to work up her treatment plan.

You would never guess by looking at this happy face that this sweet pup has been walking on a badly broken leg.

Meet erling, the newest member of Team Wescue! Named after a tough striker, he is certainly living up to the name. Erling was found as a stray at a county shelter.

While he was favoring his leg, nobody realized the true extent of his injury until we got him safely into our care and to the vet. His leg is fractured above the knee but Dr Hanson believes it can be fixed so he will be having surgery today!

While he recovers from surgery, Erling will also be preparing for heartworm treatment because he, sadly, tested positive for heartworms.

This kind of surgery and heartworm treatment is expensive. Please consider donating to Erling’s medical care so he can soon be back out on the pitch scoring the goal of a furever family.

See a Pennie, pick her up. Then you’ll always have good luck!

Lucky Pennie found herself in Wescue when her previous owners couldn’t keep her. It might not sound like luck to you, but we will make sure this pretty Pennie will be well taken care of. This sweetheart is loving, playful and affectionate and would love a home with a stay at home pawrent and kids to play with.

Pennie is about 4 years old and weighs around 16-18 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and will visit our vet this week to see if she has any other needs.

Rex here! Remember me? I became King of Mardi Gras when these nice Wescue peeps saved me. I had been hit by a car and I could not walk. When Wescue peeps heard, they rushed to get me to the dogtor who fixed my bones. I had to rest a lot to heal but that was ok because I also had heartworms, which meant more rest.

Guess what! I am all healed! My bones are healed and I finished heartworm treatment so I can run and play. How about you? Can you run and play with me? Or maybe just walk and snuggle. I will love to do whatever you are doing.
