FINALLY HEARTWORM NEGATIVE!!!

It has been a little over a year since caval syndrome surgery. Immiticide treatment followed, which sadly resulted in a still positive heartworm test. Another round of slow-kill treatment and here we finally are today....HEARTWORM NEGATIVE!! Biscuit has fought so hard to get here!! I just can’t even describe how truly happy we are with this!

A HUGE thanks to Oak Ridge Animal Clinic and Texas A&M for their staff! Another HUGE thanks to everyone who has donated towards the $560 raised to help with his very expensive treatment costs! We still have a long way to go towards paying off the treatment, but he has been worth every penny!

Sorry for the delayed update...unfortunately Biscuit is still testing heartworm positive. 😢 This isn’t unusual with pups who had caval syndrome. We are doing some meds for the next several months and will test again. In the meantime, he is otherwise very healthy, happy, and active!

Of course this means more expense so definitely appreciate any help. We are still trying to pay for his surgery.

Biscuit had an exciting trip to the vet today. Exciting??? A trip to the vet??? YES!!!! He has waited a very long time for this. Finally, he was tested today for heart-worms and in 24 hrs (or Monday if they don’t get the results before closing tomorrow) we will find out if all of the surgery, treatments, hardship he endured, hard-work by all of us, money spent, etc. has done the trick and rid his little body of the evil little creatures that tried so hard to take his life. So please everyone send your most positive thoughts to Biscuit as he awaits the news!!! ❤️❤️❤️
