When your dog is reactive, one of the best things you can do is relax and keep your leash nice and loose.

Dogs read our emotions incredibly well, and they can feel tension through the leash. When we tighten up, hold our breath, or get anxious, our dogs often do too.

The calmer and more relaxed you are, the better chance your dog has to settle and work through the situation calmly with you. 🐾

Sometimes my girls come along for a pet sitting visit, and the animals just adore them. 🐾 They’ve been around animals since the day they were born, and it shows in how gentle, calm, and loving they are with every pet they meet. I love when they come help me too — making memories together while caring for your furry family members is pretty special. ❤️
