The City of The Dalles is now partnering with DocuPet for the official dog licensing program. Licensing not only helps keep pets compliant with city requirements, but also improves the chances of being reunited with your dog if they ever become lost.

If your pet is due for a rabies vaccine or you need help obtaining vaccination records, give our team a call — we’re happy to help!

🐕‍🦺Dog Licensing now Available

All adult dogs kept within the City must be licensed by July 1, 2026. Licensing requires a current rabies vaccination certificate and payment of the applicable fee.

The City of The Dalles has partnered with DocuPet for the City’s required dog licensing program. Dog licensing helps ensure compliance with The Dalles Municipal Code while also helping protect your pet if they become lost.

Every City dog license includes a free personalized tag, access to DocuPet’s 24/7 lost pet service with live support, and an online profile that helps finders quickly report and identify lost pets. These tools help reunite pets with their families faster and provide an added layer of protection for licensed dogs in the community.

Todos los perros adultos que residan dentro de la ciudad deben contar con una licencia antes del 1 de julio de 2026. Para obtenerla, se requiere un certificado vigente de vacunación contra la rabia y el pago de la cuota correspondiente.

Our May 27, 2026 water quality tests detected bacteria levels that exceed safe limits at Mayer State Park.

Avoid swallowing water, wash hands before eating and consider limiting water contact at this site until bacterial levels are back within safe limits.
