A letter from your manager…….

Dear Maireny,

Watching you start so young, to seeing you fall in love with this field… what a journey it’s been!

In veterinary medicine, nothing comes easy. The long hours, the emotional weight, the physical demands, the moments that test your heart and your strength—it takes a special kind of person to keep going. To choose this path, stay committed, and still push yourself to grow… that in itself is something powerful.

I’ve seen you do exactly that. I’ve watched you grow, work tirelessly, train others, and step into every department with confidence and care. And in between everything you’ve managed, you’ve always held your own at work—showing up, staying strong, and giving your best no matter what.

I saw you make the decision to go to school, even with everything this field demands—and that’s not easy.

All the late nights, the sacrifices, cutting back hours to stay focused… it was all worth it. Because today, you’ve reached a milestone that truly means something.

You are officially a Licensed Veterinary Technician!!!!!!!!

That’s not just a title—it’s a reflection of your resilience, your passion, and everything you’ve overcome to get here. We saw the struggle. We saw the growth. And now, we celebrate you.

I’m incredibly proud of you, Maireny. Now it’s your turn to show us a thing or two 😉💙🐾

Sincerely,

Kirsys

🐾 Looking for a Loving Home – Meet Munchies! 🐾

This sweet boy has quite a story. Munchies was left in a carrier right in front of our doors, clearly frightened and confused. Someone once had him, but instead of the home he deserved, he was sadly dumped.

When we first found him, he was a scared little boy, unsure of everything around him. But with time, patience, and care from the team, he has completely blossomed. The staff lovingly named him Munchies, and he has turned into the sweetest, most affectionate little guy. He absolutely loves attention and being around people.

He seems to do well around other pets and truly enjoys human companionship.

We made sure Munchies is fully ready for his forever home:
Up to date on vaccines
Neutered
Dewormed
Healthy and ready to go home

Now all he needs is a family who will never abandon him again and will give him the love he truly deserves.

If you think you could be the perfect home for Munchies, please reach out to us!

📞 Call or text: 718-933-1002
📞 Sister location: 718-215-7387

Please help us share Munchies’ story so we can find him the loving home he’s been waiting for. ❤️

🚨 Lost Dog Alert – Please Share! 🚨

This sweet little girl was brought to us after being found outside. She was wearing a cute sweater and had a leash with her, which makes us believe she definitely has a home and someone looking for her.

She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and clearly used to people. She currently has no microchip, so we are relying on the community to help us find her family. 🐶❤️

Do you recognize this dog or know who she belongs to? Please help us reunite her with her owner.

📞 Call or text: 718-933-1002
📞 Sister location: 718-215-7387
📧 Email: [email protected]

Please share this post so we can help get this sweet girl back home where she belongs. 🙏

The Secret to a Stress-Free Cat Nail Trim!

Our veterinary technicians are pros at Fear-Free handling! 🐾
Watch how they perform this kitty’s nail trim while she enjoys a Churu treat (which she clearly thinks is the best part of her visit!).
Fear-Free techniques use gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and patient pacing to reduce stress and make veterinary visits more comfortable for pets.
We’re so proud of our illustrious technician team and the compassionate care they provide every day.

And honestly… doesn’t it show? ✨

WHERE LOVE IS THE BEST MEDICINE 💗🐾

Today our clinic was filled with pink, red, decorations, and the sweetest little Valentine faces… but most of all, it was filled with love.

It was a busy day — the kind of day we’ll remember.
✨ Many pets were treated.
✨ Many were vaccinated and cared for.
✨ Many little lives were saved.
And for some families… today was goodbye. 🤍

That’s what makes veterinary medicine so special — and so hard.
The long shifts. The emotional days. The exhausting hours.
But we show up anyway, because we love this.
We love what we do.
And even on the toughest days, we do it with heart.

At BVC, every single pet is cared for like family, and every single day is powered by a team that gives everything they have — with compassion, patience, and love.

So today, we’re sending a Valentine to our staff, our clients, and every pet who walked through our doors. 💘
Because love isn’t just in the decorations…
it’s in the work.

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at BVC!

✨ Cornell Career Fair Recap! ✨

Yesterday, Nina (our Director of Operations) and I had the absolute pleasure of representing The Bronx Veterinary Center at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Career Fair!

We met so many bright, passionate veterinary students—from first-years just starting their journey to fourth-years preparing to launch their careers. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication to animal health were truly inspiring.

At BVC, we love connecting with the next generation of veterinarians and sharing everything our hospitals offer new grads: a supportive team, exceptional mentorship, hands-on experience, and a culture built on learning, growth, and compassion.

It was such a fun and energizing day. Thank you to all the students who stopped by to chat with us—we can’t wait to see where your careers take you, and we hope some of those steps lead you to The Bronx Veterinary Center. 💙🐾
