Rafter M Training Stables provides horsemanship training for you and your horse. Mike is an experienced clinician providing solutions for you and your Missouri Foxtrotting horse. Horsemanship methods of training will eliminate problems with your horses behavior. Rafter M offers young horse training, missouri foxtrotting trail horse training, team sorting training. We offer stud service to MFTHBA World Champion Mr. Missouri. Missouri is a proven trail horse sire with Missouri’s Mojo being 2021 Top Trail’s trail horse of the year. We are located very close to the Arkansas and Missouri boarder in the small town of Thayer, MO. We have a beautiful horse farm with a large indoor riding arena. We are within a mile of hotels and restaurants as well as the Hirsch Feed Store. We feed quality feed and bermuda hay. We feed twice daily and stalls are cleaned twice daily. Your horse will be well cared for while it is at Rafter M Training Stables. Mike is available to do clinics and will be hosting several clinincs during the year. Today Sandy, Donna, Cynthia, Mike and I went to Eminence for an 11 mile ride to the cowboy graves and Angeline park. So we had Elsemay, (we called her Izzy) Cooper, Charlie, Chester and Gypsy Rose on the trail. Great learning moments for Sandy and Donna along the way. Just because you’ve taken them home doesn’t mean you are on your own! Always fun to ride with horses we have trained.

Audie Murphy gets his first day of foundation groundwork this morning. If you have followed us for awhile you will remember 3 yrs ago when he was born to Mike’s Ivy mare she had twins. Audie holds a special place in our hearts! He lives in Virginia now. We are excited to have him here to start his journey as a trail partner! Audie was the surviving twin! He is now 3 years old!

Today was a great day! Zeke rode Bluey, did a first ride on Goldie and then rode Marty. Warring was here today and she took Gus for a spin. Weather was cool and windy so we shut down the barn and closed doors and windows. I have Maggie’s spot ready for her in the barn office. October is in full swing!
