Been feeding the bristlenose zucchini for some time in this tank. I have never seen my breeder S. polli White cats even take a sniff at it. Dropped this in the tank earlier and walked by to see them taking bites out of it.

Purchased these S. polli White cats last September at about 1.25". They have grown nicely, now about 2.5" and a year from spawning. They got moved from a 15 gallon to a 40 gallon tank yesterday. Only fish I have for sale that I didn't breed myself. I do have them at 1.25" that I bred as well. Not one that you see available very often. They are looking for new homes. Live south of Fort Worth and do not ship.

Been awful hot here and will be worse the next 10 days. Look at the ODT line for the daily high temps. This is off my thermostat and I think it might me a few degrees high. Fish are hanging in there getting weekly water changes and plenty of areation.

Out little Jack Russel is so cute. Don't let that fool you though. He was after a lizard that ran into the gutter down spout. He was able to acutally punch hole into it with his top teeth. Didn't get the lizard though.

I was watering the grass around the oak tree in the back yard last week right at dark. Kept seeing a glint of light in one spot on the ground, thought it was light reflecting off the water on the grass. Realized it was a lightening bug when I saw another one flying close by. Used to see them here quite a bit but has been a number of years since an actual sighting.

Have any of you ever fed this? I have been using it for several years. Cichlids really tear it up. Ingredients look better than a lot of the fish food we use. At least it is mostly fish as well. Also a lot cheaper that most of our commercial foods. They get it twice a week, cut it up in small pieces and toss into the tank.

Moving these green dragon breeders from a 40 gallon to a 25 gallon. Hope it will make them more productive. Not getting any fry now from anybody due to the summer temps in the fish room.

Summer officially arrived here a few weeks ago. I no longer have to add hot water to my water changes. Water coming out of the faucet is really warmer than I would like. Temp in the tanks is running about 84 now and will go up some still. Bristlenose have stopped spawning until it cools of, usually in early October.
