Fergus - Outline's Cream of Wut (Mick x Fizz)

Holding some fresh calves to me for fly spray. The calves have been exposed lightly to dogs and people, but are not what I'd call broke, and they will not fetch to a human without the dog.

As always, we just make it work around here, no chutes to run em through, just good dogs.

I joke about Fergus being my problem child, half hearted, half serious, but his natural desire, and natural cover might be part of the reason I work so hard to be a teammate to him. There's some great talent in this dog.

Tuff (Toss x Oswin) is Wayout's Hang Tough, coming 2 years old. Putting the rams back in their pasture.

Just two little clips I was most proud of. I haven't had him out in the pasture much, he's going to be a big running dog. And then the rams tried to find refuge amongst some cows and Tuff kept his cool and got the job done.

Oh, and not me calling him by his dad's name there at the end 🤦‍♀️

We've been pretty slack on litters lately. Truthfully, I have a whole string of young dogs I'm working with, so breeding has taken a back burner.

However, Wink is too nice of a dog to sit on, and I am loving the pup I kept from her first litter.

I'm looking forward to trying this cross this fall. Wink just came in season, so if everything works out we will be looking at a November litter with puppies likely going to their new homes right around the first of 2027.

I don't usually post this far in advance, but I'm trying to give a heads up to anyone who is thinking about a working pup, I know planning ahead is important. As of now this is my only planned litter on the docket for 2026/2027 so don't miss your opportunity.

Got home from work to find a lovely heifer calf hanging out with cattle who were definitely not her mama. They were up near the house so I tried to sort her and send her through the closest gate, knowing that getting her by herself might panic her. Plan A didn't work, so Toss and I put her back with my cattle and took her all the way to the pond where she crossed over with her mother.

Thankfully getting the calf a little upset alerted her mother to actually pay attention and come get her, so we had very little trouble getting Plan B accomplished.
