Meet Bernadette – She's raised her babies, now it's her turn to be loved! ❤️
Hi there! I'm Bernadette, a sweet, affectionate mama cat with a big heart and a little wish of my own: I'd really love to be somebody's baby for a change!
My story didn't have the happiest beginning. I was found in a dumpster in Hartford with my three little kittens, Penny, Leslie, and Sheldon. Thankfully, some kind people stepped in to help us, and we eventually found our way to safety at ARF.
I took my job as a mama very seriously and raised my three babies with lots of love. I'm happy to report that all three of my kittens have found their forever homes! I'm so proud of them, but now that my mothering days are behind me, I'm more than ready for a little peace, quiet, and pampering of my own.
At around 2 years old, I'm still a young lady with so much love to give. I'm incredibly sweet and affectionate, and one of my favorite things is curling up in a volunteer's lap for some attention. After spending so much time taking care of my babies, I've discovered just how wonderful it feels to have someone take care of ME!
As much as I loved my kittens, I must admit I'm enjoying my newfound independence! I think I'd be perfectly happy as an only cat, soaking up all the attention and enjoying a peaceful home. I could also do well with another laid-back kitty who, like me, appreciates having their own personal space.
I've been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and I'm ready to start my next chapter.
I was a good mama, and I made sure my babies got their happy endings. Now I'm hoping someone will give me mine.
If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who would be delighted to curl up in your lap and call you her very own, I think we could be perfect for each other.
