Hey TVC family!
We were alerted to a new scam involving the clinic.
If you have a lost pet and have posted it online the scammers will call you and say that they are a doctor with an emergency Mobil vet working for us in our parking lot after hours. They say your pet is injured and requires treatment and that they require half payment up front to start. Please do not fall for this! We do not work with a Mobil vet during or after hours. If this happens to you please give us a call to let us know. Try to get a name and phone number so we can report them. Also file a report with your local police department. We want to ensure that no one is taken advantage of!
Thank you!

On Sept. 12, the Town of Sunnyvale received a positive rabies test from a captured skunk at Sunnyvale High School.

We urge citizens and pet owners to be cautious around wildlife and keep their distance. It is also vital that your pets receive the rabies vaccine to ensure their safety and your safety if they encounter an animal with rabies.

Rabies is a deadly viral disease transmitted to humans from infected animals, typically through a bite or scratch. While infected animals may sometimes be aggressive, they may also exhibit other behaviors. Look for signs of fearfulness, aggression, staggering, paralysis, seizures or drooling more than normal.

If you spot a wild animal that appears to have rabies symptoms, keep a safe distance and contact animal control at (214) 862-4525.
