Aegis Guardians 🛡️Guardians of Family, Flock & Farm🛡️

We raise Turkish Shepherd Dogs on our homestead in Southern Oregon. They are also exceptional family guardians.

Our dogs are raised with sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and geese.

Skye & Lenora, the dream team! These 20-month old sisters from our first litter (Osa x Jaro) live with the sheep and does full time. They did great with the goat kids earlier this year, but this is their first lambing season! They were there when mama ewe gave birth to these two, and they did great. But mama ewe didn’t want to let babies nurse at first, so we penned her and her babies up for a couple of days to make sure they bonded together. This was when we reintroduced them to the flock. The girls have done a perfect job! Yesterday I noticed the black ramling was off by himself and had lost track of his mama and sister and the rest of the flock. Skye and Nora stayed right there with him until his mama came and found him! The goodest girls and I am just so dang proud of and grateful for these amazing dogs that work so hard to keep our animals safe!! 🥰🥰🥰

This boy is doing so well up the mountain with his buck goats. As soon as I come into their paddock he is glued to me, refuses to leave my side. He’s so respectful, doesn’t test the fence, doesn’t rush me when I come to feed him and his partners. He’s such a soft boy with us and his pack, but heaven help you if you come into his territory uninvited. His stunning brindle coloring provides him with exceptional camouflage, so you won’t even know he’s there until you see his gleaming white teeth 😁
