Update-There is a home offer in Randle but they would need transportation. Is there anyone that could get them from Yelm to Randle?

Update on our newest rescue girl ❤️

We wanted to share some progress, because what she has already been through, and overcome, is incredible.

To keep her stress as low as possible, her shearing had to be done over three separate sessions. During the first two, we carefully removed 18 pounds of fiber by hand with scissors. Then, our amazing shearer, Pierce, was able to safely take off an additional 7 pounds.

That’s 25 pounds total this sweet girl had been carrying.

It’s hard to put into words what that kind of weight and neglect does to an animal, but you can see the relief starting to set in. She’s moving more comfortably, beginning to relax, and most importantly,

She is gaining much-needed weight and settling in beautifully.

And true to what we first noticed about her, she is incredibly sweet.

She still doesn’t have a name yet, but we’re taking our time to choose one that truly fits her new beginning.

Thank you to everyone who has supported her so far, whether through donations, shares, or kind words. You are already part of her story.

More updates (and a name!) coming soon ❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved residents, Llarry—also known as Llarry Llove.
Llarry came to us as a law enforcement seizure, and while we don’t know everything he endured before arriving, we do know he carried it with quiet strength. He had a large hole in his cheek that made even something as simple as eating difficult, often spilling food as he tried his best.
We took Llarry to Oregon State University in hopes of giving him a better quality of life through surgery. While there was some improvement, the repair ultimately did not hold, and the hole reopened. Through it all, Llarry remained incredibly patient, gentle, and cooperative—despite not being tame when he first arrived.
Over time, he showed us just how special he was. He became easy to treat, trusting, and so very well behaved. And if you ever had an apple, you had a friend for life—apples were his absolute favorite.
Llarry’s journey wasn’t easy, but he knew safety, compassion, and love here. He touched every one of us, and leaves behind a space that cannot be filled.
He left a Llarry-sized hole in our hearts.
Thank you to everyone who supported his care and followed his journey. We will miss him more than words can say, but we take comfort knowing he was safe, loved, and never alone.
Rest peacefully, sweet Llarry Llove. 🦙💛

Many of you know that this past year has been a challenging one for me physically. I broke my ankle last November, had my right knee replaced in December 2024, and was preparing to have my left knee done when I broke my ankle. It’s been a long road — but I finally have clearance to move forward with the next surgery.

Because of this, I need to temporarily scale back my physical involvement with the rescue while I recover.

Please know: we are not closing. This is not permanent. The alpacas remain safe and cared for, and the rescue will continue operating.

However, I cannot properly recuperate and handle the daily physical demands of animal care on my own. Right now, my focus has to be on healing so I can come back stronger and continue the work I love.

During this time, we could truly use some extra support. If you’ve ever considered volunteering, helping with chores, transport, or even fostering, now would be an incredible time to step forward. Even sharing our rehoming posts helps more than you know.

I will absolutely continue posting and helping with rehoming efforts, coordinating behind the scenes, and supporting the rescue in every way I can that doesn’t require heavy physical labor.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your continued support. This community means everything — and I look forward to being back at full strength as soon as possible. 🦙💚

Two more boys that need a place to go.
Both are intact. Raemon only has one testicle. both have very different personalities and could be rehomed separately if you currently have males.

Fernando is more easy going
Raemon should be in a small herd that will put him in his place.

Location near Yelm Washington.

✨ Cross Creek Alpaca Rescue Needs Your Help ✨

As many of you know, Cross Creek Alpaca Rescue has always been committed to giving every alpaca the care, safety, and dignity they deserve. Unfortunately, I recently broke my ankle, and while I'm healing, I’m unable to stay on top of the daily work and care our herd depends on.

❤️ I want to be very clear: the Rescue is NOT closing.
But right now, we urgently need support to ensure every animal continues receiving the attention they need.

Here’s how you can help immediately:
• Adopt a few alpacas and give them a loving, permanent home
• Foster a few alpacas short-term until I’m back on my feet
• Share this post to help us reach more hearts and homes

Every single foster or adoption makes an enormous difference during this temporary challenge. If you’ve ever considered opening your home to a few of our wonderful animals, now is truly the time.

If you’re able to help, please send us a message or comment below, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for supporting Cross Creek Alpaca Rescue — together, we can keep every alpaca safe, loved, and cared for. 💚🦙

We are heartbroken to share the news that we have lost a beloved friend and board member. Sue Martinez passed away last night. She was a support to this Rescue and myself in some of the darkest times. She was a bright light in a dim world. She will be missed beyond words. This is my favorite picture of her. She helped bottle feed Lark. We lost Lark a few months ago at age 3. I can't help but think Sue is taking care of her now.
