Turns out, sometimes good veterinary care involves a can of Easy Cheese.

A lick mat + a highly motivating snack can give your pet something positive to focus on while we’re examining them, giving vaccines, or doing other parts of their visit.

But it’s about more than distraction.

We’re helping create positive associations with being here. Less stress today can mean more confidence the next time they walk through our doors.

Behind the mask and beneath the lights: every surgery takes focus, precision, and a whole lot of heart. 💓 We treat every single patient like our own family from the moment they check in to their post-op recovery snuggles. 🩺✨

Meet Marcos, our office manager and the brave man holding his own in a building full of women.

Does he get outnumbered? Absolutely.
Does he hear conversations he probably never asked to be part of? Also absolutely.
Would we know what to do without him? Nope. 😂

We know sending a quick photo or calling and saying, “Does this look normal?” feels like it should have a simple answer. 🐾

But veterinary medicine usually needs more context than a picture can give us.

What looks like one thing on the surface can have several possible causes and your pet can’t tell us what hurts, how they’re feeling, or what else has changed.

An in-person exam lets us look at the whole pet, ask the right questions, feel what a photo can’t show, check vital signs, and determine whether testing is needed before recommending treatment.

There are certain questions I ask so often I could probably say them in my sleep. 😅 But there’s a reason you hear them at almost every appointment.

A change in appetite. Drinking a little more than usual. A different bathroom habit. When something started. A new medication. Even a small change in behavior that seems completely unrelated to why you brought your pet in...

Those details are clues.

Your pet can’t tell me what hurts, when it started, or that they just haven’t felt like themselves lately. So part of my job is asking the right questions, listening closely to your answers, and putting the pieces together.

Cats experience vet visits a little differently, which is why we’re intentional about the little things.

We give them time to settle in.
We move gently.
We pay attention to their body language.
We don’t force an interaction just because we’re ready.

And when they’re more comfortable staying somewhere they feel safe, we work with them there whenever we can.

Because getting through the appointment isn’t our only goal.

We want your cat to feel as safe and comfortable as possible while they’re here, so today’s experience can make the next visit a little easier, too.
