My apologies for the late Mindful Monday! We’re jumping back into action.
Ruffly 🐶 one in four dog-owning households have more than one dog, according to a 2021-2022 survey by the American Pet Products Association. Key benefits of owning two dogs include providing companionship for each other, which can reduce stress and loneliness, and increasing overall fun for the household. Two dogs often play together, encouraging more exercise and engagement for both pets and their owners. Adopting a second dog directly saves a life and makes space in shelters for other animals in need. However, the primary drawbacks are increased costs for food, veterinary care, and other necessities, essentially doubling expenses. Not all dogs are suited for a multi-dog household; careful introductions and compatibility are crucial.
