Congratulations team 🎉

🐾🐴 The first two competitions for Area 64 are in the books, and it’s going to be an exciting season!
Our Adrian team rode confidently, our horses were solid citizens, and we had four riders point up into new divisions (Denae Covey, Emma Leonard, Grace Slusarski, and Baylie Villani). This means they also qualified for Regionals! 👏🏼 Great job to all of the team members who participated over the weekend.
Our next competition is a double header on Saturday,November 7th in Albion. 🐴🐾

🌱 Pasture Planning & Soil Health at Neighborly Stables! 🌾

We spent a fantastic morning walking our pastures with an agricultural specialist from the Michigan State University (MSU) Extension office!

We’re taking a proactive dive into our soil and land care. During our pasture walk, we covered:

🧪 Soil Testing & Nutrient Levels — we took soil test in the spring to get direct data on pH and fertilizer needs so our grass grows lush and healthy.

🌾 W**d Management & Overseeding — Targeting unwanted weeds and choosing the best seed mixes for high-traffic grazing areas.

🐴 Pasture Management Plans — Creating long-term maintenance strategies to get everything ready for an incredible spring!

The pasture board feed room is finished 🎉. This will make life so much more convenient for our pasture board families as they no longer have to haul their daily feed pails up the hill to feed their horses. Landscaping and beautification will happen in the spring.

We are so excited to officially welcome this handsome Appaloosa to our barn family! Wyatt belongs to our wonderful boarder, Sheryl, and he’s already settling in nicely.

There’s nothing quite like watching a horse and rider build a bond, and we can’t wait to cheer Sheryl and Wyatt on as they start this exciting next chapter together. Make sure to give Wyatt a warm welcome next time you’re at the barn.
