Big brags today from me:
UDOG UKC Show in Longview
*Brando behaved well in the ring. He is still a puppy and acts like one. He still looks like one, too. My goal for him was experience and being better able to handle his emotions in stressful situations. He was 100x better!
*Voodoo advanced to the Champion Class on day 1. So today was day 2 and she started the day by winning the Champion Class in both shows!
*Ayokeh has given me the most pride today. We have been working and practicing for over a year doing Rally Obedience classes. The first day, we didn't do well. We had never practiced on carpet and the room is carpeted, the room is pretty empty and there is an echo and the numbers are not easily read (by me). I almost pulled her from competition today. I reconsidered because at the least it is practice on carpet in a room that echos that is paid for, best case scenario is that she took in everything as information, processed it, and used it as a lesson.
Of course as luck would have it, they were calling ring time for Voodoo and Brando as I was getting ready to go into Rally. No pressure.
There were corrections and in my opinion, too many. I finished the course, said "Thank You" and started to open the exit door. The judge stopped me and told me I qualified with an 84!
I hugged her and cried! Then when I left I had to take her to her kennel and didn't even realize I walked by my husband who had my dogs ready by the ring!
