I had a great first session with Craig and his foster mom, Jessica at the end of August. She joined us for pack walk and then we had another session, last week. She cried, more than once! Happy tears because she could see the possibilities. Fast forward to today, we had an important session together, with incorporating her current dog, Bruno to ensure these two could have a future life together. Bruno isn’t a guy who loves every dog. Craig is still learning that world isn’t as scary has his past experiences have taught him. We went slow, and we made huge progress. Although we still have some work cut out for us, everyone left feeling a bit lighter!

Little did I know that after I left, Jessica committed to Craig and forever!

Hi everyone! I’m Ali Millington, veterinarian and owner of Keys Mobile Veterinary Care. I was born and raised around the Gainesville, Florida area, where you could usually find me outside exploring the woods, spending time at the river, or enjoying the beach. My love for animals and the outdoors started early, and those passions have continued to shape my life and career.

After high school, I attended the University of North Florida, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I then went on to earn my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in the beautiful country of Grenada. I completed my clinical training at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Dawgs!)

I’ve been fortunate to live and work in some wonderful places throughout my career, but about four years ago, Florida called me home and I couldn’t be happier to be here. I absolutely love living in the Keys and feel incredibly grateful to call this beautiful place home.

I’ve been a small animal general practitioner for nearly 10 years and have worked in veterinary medicine for more than 20 years. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with so many amazing animals and families over the years, and I truly feel that veterinary medicine is my calling.

One of the things I love most about being a veterinarian is helping people give their pets the healthiest, happiest lives possible. The bond we share with our animals is incredibly special, and being able to support both pets and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

When I’m not working, I love traveling, reading, boating and fishing, gardening, and hiking. Most of all, I love spending time with my family and friends, my husband, and our two very spoiled dogs, Regina and Alfred.

I am beyond excited about this new adventure and the opportunity to serve the Keys community through mobile veterinary care. I’ll continue to share updates as things develop, and I’ll announce as soon as I’m ready to start scheduling appointments!

Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement, and excitement about this new venture. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! 🩺 🐾
