🔥🔥Take extra caution in the summer heat

☀️ Never leave pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes. Temperatures inside cars can rise quickly, even with windows cracked. For example- when it's 80 degrees outside, a parked car can reach 99 degrees in 10 minutes.

☀️ Always provide access to fresh, clean water and shade when pets are outdoors.

☀️ Walk dogs during the early morning or evening hours when sidewalks are cooler. Remember... if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws!

☀️ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke- including excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, weakness, or collapse. If you suspect heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

☀️ Remember that brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, senior pets, overweight pets, and young animals are especially vulnerable to heat exhaustion.
