Vixen Beth, the leader one the left, tried to chase a lynx into the woods 😆 we followed it for a couple hundred yards before it dashed off.

2020. Covid needs to go away so we can have some racing going on, cause this Kennel is ready! Cleaned up the yard a bit, filled in the holes and ready to start training.

Court here. It’s a dog mushers life. Dad and I have been having a rough year, Thomas has been in and out and pretty unreliable. So it’s just Pat and I. The name of the game is keeping the creek from flooding us totally out with overflow. The overflow even got into several dog boxes, we had to relocate the dogs. It also submerged and froze in a good portion of our fish 🤦🏽‍♀️ We haven’t been running for months, just trying to keep afloat. I made and sold this bracelet just to pay for three bales of straw. Not looking for pity or sympathy, some years just throw us pretty hard.

this could put 12 miles of a 16 mile race where viewers could see the race from top of dog trucks at start and finish line andthe other 4 from the look out above the old dump

*NEW* Tentative trail plans for the Ruby Marine Open! Chute will be in the same spot in front of the store, go down the Tanana side of the river as far as the Elders center, or perhaps a little bit further, make a wide turn up the middle of the river and go as far up as possibly the circle, make another loop across the river along Long Island, then cut across down by Bull Island and go to the right side of it where a loop will be made and come home the same way. Roughly only have to maintain 8 miles of trail versus 16! Less wear and tear on the snow machine that the Dog Mushers do NOT have. The trail will have to be wider, due to lots of head on passing, but the proposed trail will open the trail up for LOTS of spectator action!

P.s. This is just a thought, we have to explore the options and see how things go.

You win some and you lose some. This just isn’t our year. We haven’t been able to drive the dogs and now we’re flooding out. Pat and I are about to lose our wits pretty soon.

dogs will be in the harness on sunday, i will be moving home from fish camp on the same day, it was a good summer
